Sorry, I was distracted by the Cheney shot his friend thread.
When are you moving? June?
To: fanfan
Yes. June is hot, but I have no choice. At least it's dry, and not humid. People can say what they want, but I like it just fine when the humidity is 10% or so...
And if I can work it right, the truck will be loaded before noon, anyway.

You like it so dry, you probably buy freeze dried water.

"Got snow?" Yep. About seven inches, at least.
But I didn't shovel any. My daughters did -- they said they were "busting out!"
So maybe having a teen with a driver's license isn't always a bad thing.

I saw all that snow on TV and thought...Gee...Maybe Bob will have to shovel out his computer in order to post!
But here you are...:o]

Power flickered off for an instant early today, then it came back on.
The neighbor, on the other hand, was without power for several hours from a blown transformer.
I offered to let them borrow a cup of electricity.

To: NicknamedBob
I heard it was wet, heavy snow.
Are your roads clear, or passable yet?
To: NicknamedBob

Our roads are usually kept passable -- it's my driveway that is often the problem.
It has a bit of a grade, and it also drifts closed. Then the snowplows come along and erect a barricade at the end.
We can normally get out, but we have to decide if it's worth it to perhaps not be able to come back up again.

Does your driveway usually dry off between snow storms?
Ours is gravel, and is either ice or snow covered all winter.

"Does your driveway usually dry off between snow storms?"
If I can get enough sun on it, the problem goes away.
I'm thinking about putting up solar reflectors to melt the snow.
(Taking a drive -- I'll be right back.)

Gee. I wish I could complain about the snow. All I have to complain about is 75 degrees and sunshine. :o[
