Yupper, we support the troops here as well. We better be there for them, they volunteer to die for our freedoms.
God Bless them all.

DisplacedJudy - what a great name!
Poeming through the Night!
Words slip through my odd mind,
as over this old keyboard I but rest,
seeking something I may even find,
though not always my personal best!
Words whisper the possibilities there within,
and I listen in wonder to the things theyve said,
and sometimes write them down to read again,
and find some surprise at where they have led!
Entwined around some idea still half formed yet,
the poem is a fledgling life findings its own way,
and I really have no idea where it going to set,
taking my chances as I scribe what the words do say!
Let the wonder and the winsome have their play,
and follow the bouncing ball along the line,
seeking the end of the story, finish the poem I say,
and trust your muse to make it come out perhaps fine!
Here I sit in the deepening night again,
floating thoughts upon a slumbering sea,
surprised what the tide will bring from my pen,
wonder from where did this come to be?
Poeming through the Night!
Fabulous!! Oh my I love it. It sings!!
All yours, my compliments, wear it proudly! (with a TAN!)

uncleshag; pelikan, Judy in Jupiter, SUBNIC glad to see you all here, the family gets bigger everyday!
Uncle Shag: Gotta tell you that sounds like one of my 'odd'uncles, could fix anything mechanical, but had the manners of a grouch, smoked the most vile cigars, drank beer like a fish, and made a drunken evil-temepered curmudgeon look like a diplomat! Clearly I idolized the old fart, and followed his good example! Now I'm the motorcycle building curmudgeon and working on getting to 'First-class Grouch' one day. But I am glad to see you here anyway!!!!!!!!!
pelikan: And are you a ungainly, ill-mannered old bird with a strong interest in things of a maritime and piscatory nature?
Judy in Jupiter: Welcome! Out of curiosity, are you up for ribald poems, or the sort 'feather lets me put on here? ;^)
Subnic: Keep working'em boy, your going to be a poet yet! I feel so strongly that you will, that I bought a box of cigars to smoke when you drop a poem on us that makes Lady 'feather blush! (I've tried, but she's made of sterner stuff then I had thought!)
Boy, I sure miss Miss Spotsybelle . . . sigh!!!
OH MY, ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!
My how risque, Hope!
Yeah, the good ones leave all too, often I fear.
We did the Pancake Poems up right for Spotsy.
Thang Q, Ms. Feather, you're such a QT Pie,
Your poem is superb, and no one had to die.
But considering the mentality,
Of the hoard you did not name,
An explosion would have surely made,
those dogs and Bush to blame !!! ;-))
