I would like to know something honestly from you (and Howlin)
and this is no attempt to start a flame war. (In fact I will not even respond to flame wars based on the fact I'm on probation here and they are simply a waste of time that can be put to better and more important posts.) On which side do you stand on the Gun Rights issue?

It is heartening to see FReepers at their best. And shining light on the actual facts of any given matter is something FReepers do well.

You known, or should know already, where I and Howlin ( though I am not going to speak for her )stand on the Second Amendment.
I am for the Second Amendment, as it stands.
And the ONLY reason you are claiming that flame wars are "a waste of time", now, is because you are on probation here. They were always and ever the ONLY thing you lived for.

We'll just let my future posts do the talking on the issue of what I'm about here. And anyway I've been through this before in changing or getting re established at forums and know I have to EARN the trust of the people here. Actually the treatment I've been getting here from doug from upland and you isn't anywhare near as bad as what I got from ClownPosse and FreedomUnderground when I first went there. Probably because of the anti cussing rules here. ;c)
And I will tell you there ARE points of dissagreement that I have with the President. (Gun Rights as he supports the AWB ban and is still keeping a lot of firearms and spare parts under import ban due to this and the "New Freedom" manditory psychological screening of schoolchildren mainly) However I do not feel that these keep me from being a good poster on the spacific subjects I returned here to post about (Gun Rights and Linux Advocacy in the Tech Threads.) I do however like the choices The president made for the SCOTUS. (Both Roberts and Alito look like they are strong for Gun Rights if the Second Amendment should ever make it there again.) It does seem that JimRob was right in the issue of changing the COURTS before trying to get a more Conservative President.
Quite frankly as far as firearms go I'm a revolver person and the only Russian/Soviet weapons I'm too interested in are 1895 Nagants (the "luger" of revolvers). However I don't begrudge people the right to an AKS if that is the type of firearm they are interested in. Getting people to attack one type of firearm on order to try to preserve the right to keep another is the anti gun divide and conquor game.

Actually don't expect too much about President Bush from me one way or the other. I feel I finally found my Internet "niche" by returning to my Gun Rights/Linux Advocacy stance I started my posting with. It gives me an oppertunity to post on issues I have strong feelings about that are commonly shared on all the forums where I'm still a member. That basically means no more need to run down, offend and insult people (except the gun grqabbers, SCO and Microsoft of course.)
The new tag lime that replaced Prodigal son should give everybody here an idea what my posts ON ALL FORUMS are going to be about from now on. ;c)
