I'm still groggy from the decongestant. I might be able to tell once I fully wake up. LOL!
Good Morning! How'd the doctors visit go?
What decongestant are you taking?
Plenty of coffee in the kitchen. Help yourself.
She gave me an antibiotic. So hopefully that will help get rid of what I have.
Generic antihistabs - with chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine hydrochloride (whatever that is). It's the only decongestant that works for me. The nondrowsy stuff doesn't have much effect. That's why I try to go without taking decongestants at all. But I gave in last night.
Thanks for the coffee, but I can't have the caffeine.
You can't use plain old generic pseudophedrine HCl? Now, that's a great pity.
In lieu of coffee, we have the makings for a hot lemonade. How's that grab you?
Muscle symmetry comes later. Due to skeletal attachment points, certain muscles are going to have more or less of a mechanical advantage over others. Trying to "balance" them out by equalizing the weight used may not work as well as you might think. The mirror is probably a better gage of success. I'm doing very few single joint exercises as my "prime" mover for each of the major muscle groups. My four main exercises are bench, squat, military press, and dead-lift. Everything else is just icing on the cake to fully wear the muscle groups out.
Remember, this is still my "break in" phase. I'm not even lifting for heavy weight right now. I'll start to very my routine here in another week or two. Maybe add a day to come in and just absolutely ABUSE one muscle group with everything I can throw at it. These are the days when I'd attack something like biceps. Start out with a curl bar and end up burning them out on the dumbbell rack doing drop sets. Drop sets are always good for odd looks in the gym. Start with the heaviest weight you can move. Do as many reps as you can. Drop them, and immediately pick up the next lowest set. Do as many reps as you can. Drop em and pick up the next set. Repeat until you either run out of lower weights or can't do the range of motion anymore.
That'll separate the serious folks from the wanna-bes right there.
Yeah... I took my measurements before I started. I haven't even bothered hopping on a scale in two weeks. Been sticking with the same diet, with the addition of a couple of Christmas cookies. I can already feel my clothes fitting differently though and my belt is a good yardstick for what my waistline is doing...
We'll see...
The stuff I used to take contained pseudophedrine HCl with something else, and it made me drowsy. Now the new formula doesn't contain pseudophedrine, and I think it's making me drag even more. That's why I dislike taking medications.
I mostly drink hot herbal tea, and I put some honey in it to help with the throat.
I hope so. Although the anti-B sounds more like hedging a bet against other infections rather than helping with your current symptoms.
We will see.
Well, I better get going into the office. Today is the last day of my class before the final exam. Hopefully my voice will cooperate!
I'll be back later.
Well, if you can hack it, try plain old pseudophed, no additives. Works like a charm.
See 'ya tulip!
Good luck!!!
Where does the sweat come in? *licking lips*
Seriously, sounds like you lift some serious weight.
I use the mirror guage and the step guage. The mirror tells me what the package looks like; the steps tell me what's muscle and what is not. *shudder*
Oh, yes- we were dorm-mates our Freshman year(next door rooms). We spent many long nights in front of his Mac SE computer, took Shotokan together, ate a lot of pizza (remember? Two 10" two topping pizzas and two cokes for $6.99...)
Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to stay, and finished college in GA. I always wondered what happened to him, so after I got good at computers, I tracked him down (he was stunned). I know his full name, so it wasn't as hard as you might think.
I would call him more, but he hasn't gotten DSL yet, so his phone is busy most nights (hint, hint).
I have a picture of him from that year, in the fedora and trench coat...and more hair...
Nonsense! You are fully 62% as good as Elvgren!!
Seriously, sounds like you lift some serious weight.
Eh... not yet. I'm getting there though. Used to put up some pretty good numbers, but not enough to compete. Not my thing anyway so I don't worry about it. I'm doing this for me, no other reason.
I use how I "feel". If I don't feel flabby, if I'm not tired all the time, if my clothes fit good, and if I don't have to worry about "dunlop" showing on a tucked in shirt... then I consider it a good deal.
Good luck!
