Living Language, German Beyond The Basics Coursebook.

Pretty hot stuff for me :-)

But I think I bore my poor wife to death.

The Sound and The Fury...Faulkner. I'm finishing the book just to prove to myself that it can be done, otherwise I hate it, and I think Faulkner was a no-talent hack. I'm a Hemingway fan.

Just finished Jarhead, now I'm reading In the Lake of the Woods. Saw the new Capote movie last week and it inspired me to re-read In Cold Blood. If anyone hasn't read In Cold Blood you really ought to. It's one of the best books that I've ever read.

The best story that I've read recently is "The Turtle Catcher" by a new author named Nicole Lea Helget. The story won the $10,000 Tamarack award given yearly by Minnesota Monthly and it really is one of the best short stories that I've ever read. Nicole Helget is definately a name that we'll be hearing in the future.

The story can be found Here.

The Saga of Grettir the Strong, and early 14th Century Icelandic saga. Fortunately it is an English translation, not the original Icelandic.

Almost Done with Mikhail Bulgakov's "Master and Margarita."

Interesting Russian novel that's taken me some time to get through. One almost has to absorb each page and dwell on each chapter for a few days before continuing on to the next.

What I will read as soon as it hits the library is the next book by Gordon Kent. Best fiction "author" writing, far as I'm concerned.

Pseudonym for a father-son team, both career Naval guys. Combines Navy stuff with spy stuff.
