I take that to mean I owe you keyboard yes?
Quebecers think?
I will NOT eat haggis, thanksjustthesame. I have not only petted Shetlands, but have ridden them. AND! A Shetland is the only equine quadraped that unhorsed my sister...the little stud was a mere 8 hands. And I'm not familiar with Shinty.
I take that to mean you have no teenaged daughters.....
Funny thing, all the 1st born of all my heck raising freinds were daughters. God REALLY does have a sense of houmor.
Yes!
"...Funny thing, all the 1st born of all my heck raising freinds were daughters. God REALLY does have a sense of houmor."
Sometimes, us girls "get it right!"
Can you explain to me what a "hand" is in terms of measurement and what a "stone" is in terms of weight. I read a lot but authors who use those terms never think to explain it to us barbarian Yanks.
I always thought the film was called Green Soyez, I done a Google search, you seem to be right. It's a good film!
Oh. I do have one, 19, but I couldn't have her AND my virginity.
My real name is not Mary.
Lets hope your real name is not Job.
;-)
I was just thinking of the ulcers they are going to get thinking about their daughters meeting guys like them. My best freind was a complete male slut. I tease him that his wife, the Child Protective Services officer, is NOT going to let him keep his daughter locked in her room from puberty to her wedding day.
I don't know what a stone is, but a hand is athe length of a man's hand (about 9") that is used to measure a horse from the hoof to the withers. (The bony bump between the neck and the back.)
The "hand" is a universal horse measurement.
I am (they) not ready for that.......yet.
Haggis doesn't look to appetizing.... but, I never realized the Shetland's were big enough to ride!!
Shinty is a team sport that resembles the native Irish game called Hurling, and Hurling is the grandaddy of Hockey!
I saw the movie when it first came out, and last year, my son gave me the DVD for Christmas...it IS "Soylent Green."
Irish, can you tell me, in terms of weight, what is a "Stone". I keep reading books where they say things like "8 stone" but the authors never translate what it means!!
I was lucky...my daughter actually lasted to 18...I would have preferred her to wait till her wedding day, but once she was 14, I didn't have much control over who she saw and what she did. I couldn't be with her in school or at school functions.
I saw the film on Irish television, either someone at RTE got the name wrong (they get everything wrong on news and current affairs!!), or the film is called by different name on this side of the Atlantic, but then it would 'Green Soylent' not 'Green Soyez'. Most likely I simply remember it wrong.
Some Shetlands can be quite big. This one was not, but he was an evil little bugger. I stayed away from him, as I didn't trust him.
I think my favorite pony is a Welsh mountain pony. They are quite docile and easy to ride. Since they are quite well padded, they are comfortable to sit.
What exactly does ZOT stand of any way???
