I happened to catch this special on Television tonight. I found it fascinating. And when I saw the clips of this girl I was shocked. She is 9 years old and has hazel eyes and blond hair. The rest of her family has the typical asian characteristics of black hair and dark brown eyes.
I happened to catch this special on television tonight. I found it fascinating on so many levels. And when I saw the clips of this girl I was shocked. She is 9 years old and has hazel eyes and blond hair. The rest of her family has the typical Mongolian Asian characteristics of black hair and dark brown eyes. The fact that a two thousand year old European influence still shows up in a few Mongolian people today is beyond surprising. And of course the myth of Amazon warrior women which turns out to be not really a myth at all.

Yeah but does she have an invisible jet or a magical lasso?
Did she star in a cheesy 70s sitcom, by any chance?

If this turns out to be the only reply I get- I'm posting it again tommorow morning. And I'm a product of the 80s- I have no idea what you are talking about.

Have all the serious people gone to bed?! Well to be serious, I always thought a race of Amazonian women was just a myth.

Interesting. Are you familiar with the red headed mummies of China?

It's Friday. Interesting, but it's Friday night and we need a laugh.

""In the fifth century BCE, the Greek researcher Herodotus of Halicarnassus, the author of the Histories, describes the Sauromatae as the descendants of Scythian fathers and Amazon mothers. Of course, this is a legend, but the nomadic tribe did exist and lived where Herodotus says it lived, on the plains between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, north of the Caucasus. The river Don divided the Sauromatae and the Scythians, the famous riders from Ukraine.""

This turns out to not be a legend anymore.

Wait a minute.
I understand how she got a DNA sample of a present day girl; however, I do not understand how she got a DNA sample from a 2,500 years ago, long imagined Amazon to match up with it.
But, it is late, and I just may be a little slow.
Or, there could be another ages old explanation: The gypsies left this girl where she is...
