That looks very comfortable. Why are stirrups dangerous?
Where's Sharn?
Or U shore the lil trailar leekin? I gots to thanking about that and I member that their cornar did some leek while back . I had to clene the cabanats out. We coule seeled it though and I cain't thank of any more troubles. Do it look fresh are maybee just stayned?
Charlee sounds like such a sweetheart. Keep us posted on how she's doing.
That bareback pad looks really comfortable. Wow. I could sit my butt on that all day.
I went to bed about 9:30 last night. I'm up but there is no sun. When does this thing come up, anyway?:') I'm going back to bed.
Thanks, Beaker, I will keep ya'll updated on Charlee. I'll give her some more bute today and just try to keep her comfortable until the shoer comes out on Monday.
The pad is extremely soft and comfortable. Stirrups are dangerous on a bareback pad because the pad has no tree to keep it stable. If you lose your balance and put all your weight into one stirrup, it's gonna twist. Also, it has that handhold thingie on the front that I wouldn't use, either. If I need to hold on, I grab mane.
My co-worker is having heart surgery this morning. Please keep her in your prayers.
Hair, I have this vision of that pony desperately searching the area, looking for her "fix". I am glad to hear that the salt licking, is nothing to be concerned about.
We don't have any sun here either more clouds and even more rain here. Blech.
Good Morning!
I saw that yall are getting some flooding in yalls state too. Are you on high ground?
That's exactly what it looked like. And for something as harmless as a little salt, I feel bad not letting her have it. But I gotta see if she'll pee less without it. Hauling two wheelbarrows of soaked bedding out of her stall every morning is ~not~ working for me.
Tuffy, I'm so sorry about your donkey. Hope things get better for him.
Mack got the bobcat started for me yesterday when he got home from work. I had drug the last panel to where I need it with the truck:) But now I'm working on the back fence line of the arena which I actually changed my mind about and it's coming down and being moved to to the far side. I just don't trust that field wire fenceing. I found a place that has sagged alot because of the brush that has grown up in the alley way. I should get all this stuff done today....crossing my fingers:). I'll get started here as soon as I finish my coffee.

~sip~
Sounds like more fun!
I'd think a saddler could make a cinch for that.
Hey, have you seen the commercials for the movie "Dreamer". That looks really good. The little girl that plays in it was on that morning show yesterday with Katie Couric. Her and Katie were riding horses thru some park and a camera man was filming them from horseback and he was sitting backwards:), someone was leading him. The interesting thing I noticed was that alto both the little girl and Katie looked to be sitting well (they only walked very slow on camera), they both were holding their reins all wrong, palms up, which I've noticed is a common mistake for beginners. The little girl said she had alot of training to learn to ride before the filming started.
She also said that her and Kurt Russell became very close during the filming and after it was over he bought her a palamino mare that she named Goldie. Anyway Jenny and I are going to have a girls night out while it is at the theater and go see it, I can't remember the last time I went to a movie:)
Becky
Huh - I haven't seen anything about the movie, but I'm hopeful about a new horse movie! :~D
I'm surprised you haven't seen any commericals for it, they are showing them alot. When I fast forward thru commericals I always go back when a horse flashes by:).
Becky
Oh, and I meant to mention they were riding in western saddles which made the palms up thing on both reins seem even more odd.
Becky
The TV's on all day, but it's either on news channel or South Park. If they don't buy advertising there, I might not even know they exist :~D
