Thank you, I appreciate that very much. Thank goodness my horse vet never hesitates to come out. :~\
To: HairOfTheDog
Hope your cat is good today. Let us know.

Yeeeouch! That looks bad! I've had probably 20 barn cats spayed in the last 15 years or so and I've had 'em swell up, but not nearly that big. I'm glad you called vet. Hopefully it's nothing serious but I'd be on their doorstep when they opened up. Let us know how it goes.

At least your saddle was on tight. That is more than I can say for myself and a big Western saddle. My military saddle had a circingle and there was never a question about that saddle being loose. Luckily, I was never bucked out of the military saddle. Although my boots were out of the stirrups a couple of times. One of those times I had a sabre in my hand which I threw away as soon as I determined the situation was out of control. Once my horse calmed down I went back and picked it up.

...I had a sabre in my hand which I threw away as soon as I determined the situation was out of control... Yep, falling on a 3' long pointy object would definately put a damper on the day. ;o)

The same thing applied to doublebarrel scatterguns and revolvers. : )

I'd say so!
To: Beaker
I hated those things since it was a fact that very few carried them. Yet, it was said that the crowds liked to see sabre fights on horseback. Go figure....

Good Morning.
Hair, hope the kitten is ok this morning.
To: FrogInABlender; PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
Well, it's bigger this morning, but she feels good, and we'll be there when they open in a couple hours.
To: HairOfTheDog
The fact that she feels good would make me feel better, but I still would want her checked.
Did they say what that knot under the skin of Pippin was?
Just because I'm an impatient person:), I think I'm going to take Harley and my saddles over to the saddle shop today. I'll call first to make sure the guy is going to be there. But I don't see why I can't get his opinion now, then tomorrow go to the vet.

Sure... good luck with the saddle shop!
Pippin's knot appears to be some partially attached cartilage, unlikely a problem, and probably a birth defect. They said it was a curiousity and they called everyone around to look at it... it feels so weird, like a lightswitch.
To: Inge_CAV
Yeah, it'd be kinda embarrassing to get shot by your own gun. Even with blanks I imagine you could get a nasty powder burn at close range.

Sounds like one of his floating ribs has got little "fingers". Weird!
