Good job on the cleaning! Everything looks so neat and tidy. I'm glad you didn't kill the stoopid mares, but the "Blam, Blam" part sure was funny!
~smiles~
I have to say stoopid is even more frustrating than outright rebellion :~D Because they just stand there sweetly lookin' at me.
Hey, check out this site about Royal Dancing Fresian Stallions. I posted the direct link into the "Horses" section because there are some gorgeous pictures there, but they have other sections that sell videos and stuff. I don't know if they travel and perform or what but I'd love to see them. I think Fresians are absolutely the most gorgeous horses!

Looks like a terrific show.
Oh - look at this! Oh to be young :~D
Great opportunity for rider to learn an unusual equine art form in the art of theater with horses. Training is now underway preparing new horses for the show arena under music and lights. Opening theater in May 2006. Must be knowable in grooming show horses and able to react in a fast moving theater experience with horses. Riding opportunity if you qualify/willing to learn. this is a rare and exciting field in equine experience.
18 years and older, male or female. commit to 6 months intern for stipend pay only. Living quarters furnished. Opportunity for salary job when qualified. Able to ride young horses, beginners need not apply,
Apply via email at magicalworld@earthlink.net
Yeah, I saw that part. Wouldn't that be the coolest thing?! I'd LOVE to do something like that if I was young and unattached. Ya gotta be willing to be poor for 6 mths though, but I think I could handle it. Beaker would be perfect at it. Not the poor part, but the training part. ;o)
Poor is relative... if lodging is paid, the stipend is just gravy.
"Able to ride young horses, beginners need not apply" = "Must be willing to get thrown on your a$$"
:~D
If Mommadooo3 was still around, her daughter would be perfect for it too. I wonder how they're doing. I sure do hope everything worked out with their move back to their house. It looked like a beautiful place, even though the house burned.
They sure have been gone a long time!
Calling mommadooo and Markie!
We are in having lunch. We got the inside of the barn hotwired (the posts that the horses tend to eat on sometimes). Now we'll run one from the back of the barn to the back of the property to keep the two seperate. I think Harley will get to go in his stall tonight. To bad it wasn't last night tho, we got a little snow, that wasn't forecast:)
Oh, BTW, the wire I'm using this time is the yellow and black twine kind. It seems alot easier to use.

I've seen that stuff and have heard that it was pretty nice, and fairly durable. It's bound to be easier to put up than a roll of that old stiff bare wire.
The stuff that you can just stretch by hand and tie in knots is sure easy, I like it too... I'm not sure I'd trust it completely without some big gage hardwire in there too... But since the horses aren't supposed to run through it anyway, I'm not sure that's not psychological on my part. I just like to have some high tension wire in there for strength.
My dad's on his way here for a visit... I've been tidying up in here... It's been a tidying couple of days, place looks pretty good ;~D (As good as it gets!)
~waves to dad~
Yeah, pretty sad huh! here is one of one of my boys, it's a little easier to look at.
Well, they look pretty good too!
You look like you ride the pretty country! Mostly trail riders here on the thread too... Welcome :~D
Glad you liked it, I don't know how deep you dug into it but in case you missed it you might like the "Trial Rides" link page.
Jackson Hole and Yellowstone Region Trail Rides
My 9 year old and I in the mountains above Jackson Hole.
Hey, I thought both pictures looked really good. Welcome to the thread and feel free to drop in anytime.
Is there's any way you can post those pictures a little bigger. They look really pretty but my eyes ain't what they used to be. :o)
We've got hills close by, and mountains a little further, but there's something special about the Rockies and the Tetons areas.
Do you do alot of packing up on overnights? I haven't done that yet with my husband... heck... have never really horse camped that rough, I've only gone up to horse camps that had corrals and facilities. But I'd like to someday.
We keep thinking that pony of ours who has no other purpose in life might be able to pack our things in just fine :~D - Course, we'd have to try it first with some baggage we could afford to lose, like her dinner. (she's a baaaaad pony)
