No, I didn't. Kids did, and said there were only about 40 horses there. One nice paint gelding went for $1800. They only stayed an hour.
That wind was something else this weekend. I had to buy some more tie downs for the tarp, on my camper.

What the heck is "buety"?
This is my buddy Elizabeth. Her horse has been through a bad bout of navicular and is currently unridable so she hadn't ridden in a long time and was suffering from a bad case of horsey withdrawal. This is a picture of her getting her "fix" with Spot, the mare that I've been borrowing from another riding buddy. If that's not a look of pure bliss I don't know what one is!
This is Dalton and his horse R.L.. He's such a sweet horse! He banged his head on something really bad a few hears ago and Dalton thought he was going to die. You could see his brains right above his left eye and can still see a little bit of a scar from it even now. But Dalton nursed him back and they seem to have a bond between that you don't see very often...
Here we start out...
Having a break and a discussion...
Me & Blade, Elizabeth & Spot...
Dalton and R.L. (I just think he's a gorgeous horse!)
Another break and story swapping session...
This is Carolyn and Gary, the ones who bought Blade from me and have been nice enough to loan him back while Bob recovers. Carolyn's horse Queen used to belong to me too. Queen is Truly's mother and is 25 yrs old. She hadn't been ridden in almost 3 years but performed like a trooper this weekend. We went 16 miles at a pretty fast clip and she wasn't even breathing hard at the end. I was amazed. Gary's horse is named Jake and he's a real sweatheart too.
And we're off again...
This is all of us at the little diner we stopped at for lunch. A finer bunch of friends I could never hope to find! (Except for you Cav! Maybe one of these days you can borrow one of Shirley's horses and come with us.)
Carolyn, Gary & Elizabeth on the bridge...
Me & Blade at a pretty overlook. Pardon the posture, we were kinda facing downhill...
I thought this one of Gary & Jake was cute because Jake had a little yellow leaf resting on his forehead. It just fell and landed there...
The end...I hope I didn't mess anybody up by making this post so long.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend. There's a lot of people leaving lately.
That is going to be so nice - all that light and a great view.
Thanks to you I knew what to look for when I found her. : )
Well, I am down to one horse now, the brood mare. The team left yesterday........
The kittens are wonderful - you've got to be having a ball with them.
Wow! Great pictures and it looks just like old times........ : )
Wear what you're comfortable in, except no tennis shoes - they aren't real safe in the stirrups. Layer your clothes so you are ready for whatever the weather might bring. Hat or helmet. Plenty of water, snacks.
That's what I said coz I was one too. It wasn't fair though coz they didn't have any gaited breeds in there! ;o)
Inexpensive saddle bags will work fine. As Hair says, just freeze your water bottles the night before 3/4 full and add water in the morning. They'll stay fine that way.
Well good, I know you hated to get rid of them but you needed to. Who took them?
I've also found that wrapping them in a little newspaper will make them stay cool for much longer too. I just fold the paper so that it's only as wide as the bottle from the bottle up to the "shoulders" of the bottle, then roll the bottle up in it and put a rubber band on it. You'll still have ice in it even at the end of a long 90+ degree day. Not much of a consideration this time of year, but a nice trick for the summertime.
You scored as Quarter Horse.

Great pictures, looks like you had a ball.
It was a local guy near the farm so maybe I will get to see them working soon.
Still think you need the brood mare. Cross her with a TB for a colt you can sell.
Thanks, good trick to know. We have insulated covers for our water bottles but I don't think Cindydawg needs to get that for a trail ride. The paper would work great.
Those are fantastic pictures of people and horses and a great day. Thanks for sharin' them!
Lots of "buetys" in this group :~D
