It needs a large bronze horse in the center of the circular drive, I think.

Certainly! I was looking for one of those too but they didn't have one. They did have a pretty cool-looking bronze Rhino, but who would want one of those in their yard?! They had some pretty cool multi-level limestone fountains that would look good in the center of a circular drive but none of 'em had horses, just goofy-looking mermaids and cherubs and stuff. They could've at least had SEA horses ferpetessake!

Oh, I did remember to take a picture of Bob's leg. I think it had been exactly a month when I took it...

Before/after...

It's still pretty big, but I think it looks better. Although it still looks pretty swollen from the other side...

It's still big, but it looks great. Very very hopeful.

Hey, what about this one? The horse's name is Kubinec, if that means anything to ya...

And I kinda like this one too...

It doesn't say, but I'll guess $10,000 - $15,000. The auction estimate on the ugly bronze rhino at Gatsby's was $6,000 - $10,000 and it wasn't life size like these are. But it could be much higher. I guess it depends on the artist. Too rich for my blood in any case.

Hey, you never know what you'll find. Heck, your neighbors may have one tucked away in some of their junk.

I bought 8 bags of choc bars. At 8pm, I was out and turned the lights off. Next year I'm going to buy a bag of junk candy for the adults and teenagers. I was happy to see that every little kid had a parent or grandparent come to the door with them. I wondered about them carrying their own bag but each to his own I guess. My "Mamo" was Easter egg hunting in her 80's -90s. If she could have got away with it she would have probably trick or treated too. When I was little you knew when to stop though , because people would make comments. Nowdays, if you say something the lil darlins might egg you cars.

The girl that bought Rusty has a statue of an Arab in front of her barn. I think it was one of those plastic or fiberglass ones, not metal. But it was one of the prettiest ones I've ever seen. I'll try to remember to get a picture of it if I ever go back there.

I've been busy today doing major major house cleaning. We're back to trying decide if we are staying here or moving.....probably will throw this around for several more years:) hard decision. But in the mean time I've decided I might not be so gloomy if the house was really really cleaned, walls, windows, baseboards, etc, it's really gotten bad around here, I've been such a lazy butt.

But I've discovered something that I've worked on since we lived here. When the house was painted there was a lot of overspray on the windows. I've tried so many times to get it off and just couldn't. Well a few years ago I discovered that the purple degreaser you buy in the automotive section that stuff will almost (not quite tho), take the paint off the wall without really having to scrub to much. On the jug of this stuff it says it can be used to clean walls, appliances etc, you just dilute it. Well I wondered how it would do on the windows, and it worked like a charm. I spray it on let it set a minute or so then take one of those razor blade scrapers and that paint that has been on the windows since it was built is just coming off like a paste, very easily. Then I windexed them and my windows look brand new, like there isn't even glass in them.

I've got the utility room completely done, cabinets, walls, etc, and the windows done in the kitchen and living room. It's going to take me a week or more to get to the whole house, but it's amazing how finally getting those windows clean has inspired me to do the rest of what needs to done. Maybe it will be enough I'll just want to stay here:).

I'm not kidding tho, if you've got a tough cleaning job go get that stuff, at Walmart, it's not expensive and it really works. I've cleaned my oven with it and it works better then real oven cleaner. It's actually a bit embarrassing when you spray it on the walls to watch the gunk that you don't even notice was there start running down the wall.

Shaking my head. You know I'm still looking for property , right? Well I have a few I want to go look at this weekend. There is one that isn't very expensive but has a community gate to horse ranches and says restrictions. Sounds uppity doesn't it? I'm debating scratching it off my list.

I hear ya, Glad you found your inspiration to get things done! I wish we would have deep cleaned while it was still nice outside.

I'm not though. I don't want to be anywhere near a home owners association that watches everything I do. If I have time. It's not 1st choice though.

These windows have been driving me nuts:) I'd clean and clean but they always looked like they had a film over them, which they did. I haven't even tried in years, so you can imagine how dull they looked. It's helps too that the outside looks so pretty right now too. The weather here to day is marvalous and the sun shining on the fall leaves is so pretty, and now I can see it from the house:)

I think I'm done on windows for today tho. I'll do some more tomorrow. I need to go at least get started on the kitchen. Might not finish, but I've got time to get a good start. The kitchen is the hardest, all the cabinets and stuff. If I can get it done, the rest will be a piece of cake.

Hey, restrictions aren't all that bad. If it keeps your neighbor from building a hog farm and storing 19 junk cars right next to ya it can't be all that bad. Now when they try to tell you what color you can paint your house, that's going a bit far. Go check it out and make sure to read the fine print in the covenants.

Good job with the windows. You'll have to let us know the name of the stuff you used. "Purple degreaser in the automotive section" don't tell me much. ;o)

LOL. It's use to be called Super Clean, yesterday when I went to buy some it had a new name. I wasn't sure till I got it home and opened it if it was the same stuff. It is. It's now called Purple Power, Industrial strength cleaner and degreaser. I got it in the automotive department at Wal Mart.

It's some potent stuff, breathing the fumes will choke you, but it darn sure cleans anything and everything. I'm useing it half strenght on the walls and windows, and it works bettern then anything else I've tried.
