Well, I have seen the extremely rare liberal that could actually debate, but more often than not, they resort to namecalling and changing the subject when they start losing, which is usually pretty quickly.
I had a chance to challenge some of that thinking today. I had a coworker riding with me today and when I stopped for gas I was complaining about the gas prices and said that something had to be done. Her response was "get rid of Bush," to which I immediately replied that it wasn't HIS fault. Then she said the answer was to get out of Iraq. I'm like, "huh?" I told her that we needed to stay there and finish what we started and that I believed we were absolutely right to go in there and that if it wasn't for treasonous congressmen and media whores compromising the war effort, we'd have been done with it by now, and with a lot less casualities. I told her that if she wanted to blame Bush for something, at least pick something legitimate....like the fact that he won't do anything about the borders, or the fact that he's shoveling money at the public indoctrination of children bureaucracy just as fast as he can. She had to kind of laugh at that point.
