That looks like a Brittish Phone box! Was it originally red? If so, many were bought and shipped to America and are worth a good amount!
I just love used bookstrores! I probably have mentioned that I am passionate about books, as some are about football games and films. My favorite past times are reading and cooking! : )

Have you ever went to Thompsons bookstore down town? It's been several years since I've been there but they had books everywhere. I could get one for two. I would skip school and spend hours there.
Can't you replace the windows, clean it up, bomb out the snakes and make it habitable? I would love to take on such a task! When shall I start? LOL
