Eeek. I don't know if you could get me in that stream with crawfish in it!
It is always sad to see horse equipment for sale at garage sales. Lost dreams I guess.
That is an awful looking cut but it looks like it's healing okay. And thankfully, no flaps of skin hanging.
Thank you for all the pictures. A beautiful rainbow :) and a happy cat and dog.
It's a beautiful saddle. It should last a long time if she just uses it when competing and uses her old saddle for work and training.
Prayers being said that you get the property of your dreams. :) Waiting for pictures.
Y'all are welcome. Sharn, where in the Ozarks is it? I will look up TTT ranch.
I'm from that area. Family from there since 1857.
My great-great grandfather was one of the founders of Carter County. Van Buren is the county seat.
She traded in the old one. This is it for her.

The farm is in Black MO. It is so beautiful it takes your breath away. It has sugar maple trees, black walnuts and many sought after roots in the woods. : D Black is northwest of Ironton near Johnson shutins state park.
try looking up bushy creek, black Mo and the foxtrot ranch comes up, also so does the camping part of it. : )
Brushy creek, not bushy creek! : ) I am going to TRY to download a couple of pics..........no promises!
Well, shoot. That's not too good. I guess, just keep your fingers crossed and hope she takes good care of it. Most show saddles aren't made for abuse, like the ranch saddles are.
Sharn, you are talking to the right person when it comes to riding that country! I have been riding the Ozark Trail all through there for 15 years.
I am from there and me and my cousin have covered the area on horseback like forever.
Are you buying land there? Or just going for vacations there?
You are close to Sam A. Baker State Park which has an equestrian campground, also near Sam A. Baker are private horse campground. Right on the St. Francis and Little Creek. Absolutely great riding.
Many, many more places. But I don't know if you are moving there, if you have horses or not. Haven't caught up with your posts for a while.
Glad you like the country!
Her old saddle was only 5 years old, and she does take very good care of them.
This saddle is really not a show saddle. It is a barrel saddle and built to be used.

Beautiful place, Rose!
I just posted about my 2nd trail ride adventure over in the Hobbit Hole.
Had a great time, pics uploading now and I had my first terrifying experience on a horse.
But I'm proud of myself for being able to keep a clear head and control the situation without going into a full-blown panic.
link to the hobbit hole post? Glad you are ok! : )
