The white mare is about 11. Young enough to do something but as I said I am tired of struggling with her --- I just want to go for a calm and enjoyable ride!

'Almost Noah's Ark' is lovely! Or if you have too many snakes, 'Boa's Ark'! :)

Is your new place near Houston? If so you are down in the flat humid snakey country.

My trainer has two mini wire haired dauchaunds, and the male loves to tussle with the cats. But the cats give him a run for his money, as they are roughly his size! :-) I don't know if I told you but the female got stomped pretty good, and she hasn't been right since. She's a terribly sweet dog, but has lost some of her coordination.

Was it you who was trying to breed a mare and she'd had a Caslicks and the stallion couldn't breed her?

I like horseclassifieds.com, too.

I drove about 75 miles or so one time to look at a "kid's horse". When I got there, they were already riding him and he had sweat pouring off of him and was still high strung. I wanted to strangle them.

Tuffy came off a farm called Frost Farms in Cleburne. They have alot of horses on one of those sites and they are all nice looking and reasonably priced. She still has Tuffy's mother and some siblings there on the farm. I didn't buy Tuffy from them, I bought him from his 2nd owner so I don't know how nice these people are. I did send them a picture of Tuffy and the first thing they said is, "Is he for sale?"

I would definitely get anything I bought from them a comprehensive pre-purchase exam. Tuffy's health isn't the greatest but he's extremely sweet and gentle.

I love just about any paint horse but that one I posted the link to is a knock out! Wish I had that much money to drop on a horse. I keep telling myself, he's probably lame.

That white mare is really pretty. Have you thought of sending her to a trainer? A big heavy cowboy might be just the ticket to give her an attitude adjustment.

Did your friend ride Dolly before she got transferred or has she never been rideable?

Oh Yes! He chews them up good and spits them out when done!

Seriously he is great with them and they adore him! He doesn't bite or chew on them, just all their toys! LOL
