You can see by the pictures that they started out wearing jackets, by 9am they were in shirt sleeves and at the finish, Tracey in a tank top and Bob in a t-shirt.
Yeah, I was thinking about Eddie telling me how cold El Paso got at nights when he was stationed there after I posted. Here we wake up to hot.
You remember how long it has been since I ordered those vaccines? I'm still waiting on that vet for west nile. They keep telling me he says he knows and will get around to it!
That's one of the things I really enjoy here after living in the south. No more sleeping under an air conditioner - just open a window a crack :)
Screened windows, right? :')
Not necessarily, if it's got a baggie on the sill...
These things scare snakes away too? You hear that Rose?
Good heavens - is this vet aware that there is a real need to get West Nile vacs? I think I'd call another vet or call ahead to the vet where you are going.
When you go to give them the powder, you'll give two scoops in their grain, and it's super powdery, like flour. I can't imagine they'd eat it like that. I add just a touch of water to it and mix it around and it dissolves and disappears. Then they'll eat it right up.
Are they known to be nervous trailering? Is that why you're getting it?
:) No bugs here except flies and moths. But yes, screened windows.
I claim I have four seasons every day here with the temperature change. I learned long ago not to go anywhere without taking a coat in the car. Not only does it get cold at night but we just had hail in Reno on Friday night. My sister lived at Tahoe the year it snowed on the 4th of July.
:) Did you notice Sonny tied to the trailer with three lines and wearing a rope halter? It's possible, although I don't want to speak too soon, that the problem of him breaking loose and visiting is taken care of.
I told them that we are leaving this week and she told me she would get him on it. I may have to take care of it with a new vet. I'm going to "remind" the receptionist again tomorrow.
I don't think you'll be losing much when you lose this guy as your vet. I hope you new vet is much better. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a safe and uneventful trip for you. I'm heading to bed, work tomorrow. After this weekend, that will be restful.
Yeah and it's going to be a long drive. I'm thinking about the maalox too. I thought I might share a bottle with um:') That or a six pack. I think I'm as bad as they are. I still have bad memories of our trailer turning over when I was a kid. I felt like we were never going to get Okie home when we hauled him here. I think I rode backwards the whole trip!
night
I understand the nervousness.... especially because you don't trailer often. We're getting better, but we were pretty nervous our first couple of trips.
I hope it goes well.... and I hope you find nice quiet spots to stop and rest and unload, unless you are planning on just driving all the way through.
You know, I did notice he was double tied. I figured there was a reason!
It's looking like we can't leave until Friday morning now. If they load good I'm thinking about stopping at my dads and letting them out and just tieing them up awhile. I'll just have to play that by ear though.
Good morning
Becky
