waves back! This is so cool, what you all probably don't know is that this is the first NEW computer that i have ever bought for ME! LOL Emma has had one, and deaconjim got one for his 40th birthday. Now I have mine!
You will probably see even more spelling mistakes whilst i get used to these different keys etc!
LOL
Do your horses have a rough time on the 4th July Hair? Ours are used to sonic booms going overhead every day so nothing really fazes them. The colts don't seem to mind plastic bags either as one just blew across the field right in front of thunders nose whilst he was eating and he didnt even move a muscle. : D

The horses do fine with any kind of distant boom or fireworks that sound like occasional gunfire. Where they got overwhelmed was the first year, when I didn't have shelter, and it was all around and overhead from the neighbors, and it wasn't any one shot, it was the sum total of it building up all around. I'm close enough into town, that I have many neighbors and many of them seem to buy the big overhead display type fireworks from the reservation. Those, and the ones that make an extended crackling or buzzing sounds that are long lasting, like Whistling Petes.

Now that I can put them inside, I don't fear much for the horses.

The dogs are horrid. Gidget barks like mad and wants to attack each one. She'll start getting doggie downer drugs a few days before the fourth, building up to a complete coma for the 4th itself. Homer, I don't know yet, but whenever he hears gunfire he runs to me and wants to be on my lap. I may have to knock him out to just so I'm not stuck with him clung to me for the whole weekend.

I really hate the fourth of July, since I've had animals.

I rode Rusty, and he seems to be progressing, albeit slowly, but progressing, IMO, anyway:) He hasn't locked up, and I did a small amount of trotting today. I think tomorrow I am going to try that new bit on him I got. It is suppose to help them flex some. He's really getting stiff necked for circles. I think that is just cussedness on his part, not wanting to work again. I think having his feet trimmed helped somewhat too. He didn't seem as stumblely.

well i hope that your animals do much better this year, what with the shelter and drugs for the dogs! : D
I just had a horrid thing happen, i let the kids do picnic supper up in Emmas bedroom whilst watching Watership Down.
I put Tommys plate down on the blanket and Emma put Jacobs down right behind my foot without thinking! Urgh what mess! Yep I stepped in it and so Emma is sharing her supper with jacob with the promise of ice-cream.........well that is another story, we have lots of ice-cream to eat tonight because my large freezer has quit on me. It is stocked with salmon, frz veg, chicken, pizzas etc. I have a side by side too but there is only so much room! The one that isnt working is a commercial upright!
~sighs~ its just going to be one of those months. So far I have had lawn mower, washing machine, dryer and now the freezer pack up on me.............

Well, we just had a mini drama.... When we got home from taking the truck back to dad, no Homer anywhere. He was freaked by thunderstorms as we were leaving, but we didn't think he could get out. Not sure how he did end up getting out, but assume he busted through the electric in the front, which would have freaked him out worse.

We were worried sick, and we drove around stopping at houses and calling for about half an hour, and thankfully, he went to a house who would look at his tag and call. He was a little ways down the road. He's lucky he didn't get hit.

This is just thunder... we haven't even had fireworks yet for the fourth. I'm beginning to understand why he ended up lost in front of the store.

Silly Homer Dog. I have a lab border collie, (I've been meaning to post pics btw, but I can't find the USB cable to my blasted camera) and he ended up taking off and spending the night in doggie jail.

Just got back from the dentist. Had to have my teeth floated. (quite literally). He filled a tooth but the bite wasn't right, so he had to file it down some. I feel loads better.

Wow.... If you were getting your teeth floated, I bet the vet would've been cheaper.

Probably. I just had to pay a bill, and if it wasn't for my insurance....We won't even talk about what it costs to get wisdom teeth extracted...

ugh.

I'm so glad he went better, I know you need for him to get his rear in gear... and I hope he's on his way.

Well, I am happy to report that Bay seems fitn and sound tonight... they all had a little fit of the run and plays, and he looked good to me.

I like this little sliding half-stop.

Wanna play with me?

Tina and I rode this evening for over 2 hours. We had a nice peaceful ride. So Harley went out twice today. Tomorrow we'll have a good work out in the arena. Do some barrell work.

I think my vet only charges a couple hundred buck for extractions.

I meant to take my camera with me tonight, and I forgot:(.

If Mack is home when I ride I'll get him to come out and take some. But actually I think he'll be working. Thurs. I'm riding with Celia and Sally. We are meeting at Sally's house and going from there, so I'll be riding in places I never have. I'll definitly take the camera.

I hope you do remember it.... I feel like I'm the only one who takes the camera with her every time she goes out the door.

... OK so I am the only one who does that ;~D
