And what is the deal with 'younglings"? WTF? Would it have killed them to use a regular word like "children"?>I gathered the "younglings" were the young Jedi, which would differentiate them from normal children.

Yes. I recall that. I always assumed that to mean her adopted father. It would make sense. Keep in mind that Leia didn't really "know" she was Luke's sister or that Vader was their father until near the end of Return of the Jedi, even though she said "somehow I've always known." At one level I'm sure she did, but not consciously, I don't think.

" One of the things I reallly enjoyed about the movie was that Master Windu actually defeated Sidious before Anakin intervened."
Did you really think anyone in the universe could beat Samuel L. Jackson by themselves? I mean seriously he is the only Jedi with BMF on his light saber.

I assume Ep 6 Leia THOUGHT her mother was the Senator's wife, and didn't understand what Luke was asking...Luke KNEW Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru weren't his real parents.

Sidious was play-acting, trying to lead Anakin into killing Windu, just as he did to Luke in ROTJ.

Sorry, everything is coming up in italics... hope you can read what I wrote.... why is it doing that! Don't worry, I was able to read.
Its too bad that there are so many inconsistencies. I watched the first Star Wars in 1977, and only parts of the second (on television). Haven't seen any since then. Perhaps this one is worth seeing.
BTW, My cousin got his start in Hollywood doing the special effects on the original Star Wars. He even played C3PO when they had to do some retakes back in Hollywood.

Anyone know what the deal is with Natalie Portman's eyebrows? Holy cow, those things freaked me ot more than seeing Han Solo cut open a Taun-taun.
Did they use CGI on those things? IMO, she is so over-rated. Very cute and sexy, but a bad actress...bad acting.
reminds me of that old SNL skit with Dan Aykroyd, bad Acting with Leonard Pinth-Garnel.
"Horrible acting, just awful, BRAVO, BRAVO, terrible!"

Princess Leia holds her position as Princess of Alderaan as she is publicly believed to be Bail Organa's natural daughter and heir. Traditionally, the heir of the Alderaan throne also serves in the legislative High Council of Alderaan and a term as Senator of Alderaan. After Alderaan is destroyed she leads the Alderaan survivors to New Alderaan, which is founded after the Galactic Civil War. The Royal House of Alderaan, in the person of Leia Organa Solo and her children, continues to hold sovereignty of both New Alderaan and the Alderaan system. The government on New Alderaan administers their former Alderaan system.

Notice that Yoda fights Dooku to a draw (Clones). Skywalker beats the pi*s out of him, and cuts off both his hands. Palpatine goes up against four Jedi, and kills three in about 10 seconds. Whether or not Windu beat him, or he faked losing to sucker in Anakin is up for grabs, but basically, Yoda left because the jig was up. The Dark Side (at that point) was stronger (How many times did Palpatine sit in a room with how many Jedi, and not have ONE sense the dark side in him?) and smarter. Think about it. In the 20 years before they send in Luke, Yoda never even tried to challenge Vader. Hell, he didn't even try WITH Luke. He sent him off himself. Plan "B"? A woman with NO Jedi training.

When you've just had a baby, your belly doesn't just go flat right away. Some women still look "pregnant" days, even weeks after delivery. Depends on a lot of factors. Really! After carrying and birthing and breastfeeding six kids, I did not know that... I was thinking about Hollywood and the appearance that this would give to viewers, as did a previous poster. As I said in my previous post on the subject, the birth of the twins and the death of Padme were not believable, too aniseptic...

He even played C3PO when they had to do some retakes back in Hollywood. Cool. I think there are so many inconsistencies is that Lucas is making up the story as he goes along, he did not have the vast scope planned in advance... it would have been helpful if he had at least LOOKED at the stuff the wrote before before contradicting himself in subsequent installments...

When are movie births ever believable? I remember the one in Sarah Plain and Tall, where Sara's German friend has a baby... THAT was pretty realistic.... I guess what I am saying is that is could have heightened the drama for there to be more real suffering and real dying... it was almost comic-book in nature, whereas I think Vader was more credible overall which I why I CRIED during his demise and transformation....

Her looking pregnant at the funeral was part of the plan. it's also why they wiped C3PO's memory. Only three people knew the truth about Luke and Leia's birth: Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Bail Organa.
