"I had a blowout." What happened?
We just got home a little while ago. I am seriously tired, but thought I should try and catch up a little. Haven't had much opportunity. My time online at Dad's was very limited because he gets upset if the phone line is tied up for long. That makes it hard to relax.
I'm working on downloading my pictures. That should take awhile.
How are you?

Sharky is going to kill me putting these pictures on his dialup. But he can kill them by un-checking Show Pictures under Multimedia on the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box.
More from the Sound and Light show

Don´t ask me what this represents, it was something to do with the sea, but I would not hire them to paint my house.

She was being silly, and wasn't sure if anyone would get the wise crack.
I said "Probably not."

Gotta go? Is lunch finally served?

Bad nully.
Did you forget to roll up and put away the "welcome burglars" mat?

Oh. To answer your first question, just driving along minding my own bidness at 80 or so.
Bang! A glance in the rear view mirror shows a big chunk of wounded tire flopping around in the road.
Car is going fluppita fluppita fluppita. I start to slow down. (At this point the kid wakes up, having slept through the Bang!)
Get over to the side of the road.
No problem, I just finally got around to getting a spare a couple weeks ago.
OK, maybe one problem. The jack's end clip is bent so that it doesn't fit over the pin it's supposed to clip onto. With sufficient swearing and pounding I was able to get it close enough.
Well, maybe two problems. They put the tire on with an air wrench. I bent the lug wrench trying to get it off.
So I'm on the phone trying to get through to AAA when the CHP officer shows up. I figure he's got a better pineline to AAA than I, as I've been on hold for a while.
Nice guy, likes my Osama bin Laden Driver License. Takes him 20 minutes to get through.
He goes on his way.
Two minutes later a second CHP officer shows up, I assure him everything's under control, and send him on his way.
An hour later I call AAA. After another 15 minutes or so trying to get through, I say "Where are you?" They say "Who are you?"
Sooooo, I put in a second request for them to come out. *sigh*
Turns out, among other problems, I'm exactly on the dividing line between N. Cal and S. Cal.
Anyway the guy shows up an the exact moment his company calls to say he can't find me.
Finally! A floor jack, and an air wrench! We're all set!
He pops off the old carcass, goes to put on the new spare, and...
Well, maybe three problems. It turns out that my new spare, the one I finally just got, the one that looks identical to my other four tires, yes, that one, doesn't fit. My old rims have a little hole for an alignment pin, the new rim doesn't.
Fortunately he was eventually able to remove the pin, and install the new tire.
We got back on the road after a three hour delay.
Good thing I left three hours early...

She went as far as to accuse me of doing it - to get even with her.

How did THAT happen?
And is it somehow by extension my fault, and how many points do we get for it?

She says that someone has been watching her move, and picked the lock on her car (She simply
couldn't have forgotten to lock it after all!) and went through it and took the box with all her financial and medical records in it.
You know, the box she moved into the car to keep it safe from me.(!)
It's my fault. So there!
She hasn't figured out how to blame any other FReepers (yet)...

Finally, a nice slow soaking rain here today thanks to Dennis. It makes me so sleepy I can hardly hold my eyes open.
Where is Lodwick these days? Has he been banned?
To: Conservababe; lodwick
Dunno. Maybe he got fried when FR went down? Sorta the squirrel in the transformer kinda thing?
