I need to clean up the living room, take a shower, do my nails, etc. Sometimes it seems that I work just as much on the weekends as I do during the week. I need a vacation too! *Grumble*

I just got a call from my sister in Louisiana. Her husband has been out of a job since his company shut down drilling in Nigeria a few months ago. He has applied for a five year contract job in Saudi. She will be going with him. They start all the red tape procedures next week.
What are they thinking?

Yes, its the money. They don't have to pay any taxes to the USA and five years will take him up to his retirement date.
But, I'm still scared for them both.

Saudi used to be one of the "safest" places you could go for big bucks and royal treatment, that, and Oman and Kuwait were the plum places to be.

Do you get the impression that folks are cashing out of some of the nicer areas of Tucson? People absolutely are cashing out. All around us, considered a good area, the most gun owners and conservatives, but still a tad shabby. Anyway, every day, somebody is bailing from our neighborhood. They paint the outside of the house, maybe tile inside, then sell. Homes aren't even being listed; there are internal bidding wars.
I heard that's happening in the other neighborhoods too, some not even so nice.
