When the Tx Gop failed to get property tax relief passed in this legistalive session I stoped sending them money. When I get my next letter asking for a check I will write on it can't/won't give, property taxes to high.

I love a good rant that ends with an insult to the French. Yeah, me too... come to think of it, I love anything that insults the French!

Lack of enthusiasm for the Republican party is not tantamount to abandonment of the people. Sheesh.
One reason conservatives are always "working uphill" is that conservative principles value the individual over the collective. Conservatives WANT to work independently, be left alone, less nanny-statism, etc.
Liberals, OTOH, value the collective over the individual. They naturally group, swarm and hive. I dunno about you, but I prefer being identified as an individual. Liberals can eject people from their clique. Conservatives who want to gain power have to compromise on their political objectives. In my opinion, conservative politics is a lost cause. There is no way compromising individuals can stop a monolithic clique. The only effect is slowing of the inevitable.

Hi All-
As a "small l" Libertarian the past few years, I can see from where Lazamataz is coming. I too hold my nose when I pull the lever for Republican candidates.

When the election rolls around, you'll be back, just like me. We're like abused spouses, treated like crap, resolving to stand up for ourselves, but then we make excuses for them and go back.

You are making a case for ballots with..."None of the Above" on themIt's VERY easy to 'write' that in on an electronic voting machine. You don't even have to ask for a pencil...

Listen friend, you have taken the Demorats bait. Getting repubs to bolt the party is the essence of their stalling plan. Don't fall for this sneaking trick of the RATS. We are between election cycles. The voters "taking bait" is irrelevant. IT is for us to watch whether or not our representatives "take the bait," or vote along conservative principled lines.
The picture will be different in November 2006. The GOP will make whatever promises it feels are necessary to win elections. The voters will choose ... then.

If Rush quotes you today you will become a god Rush's quoted me once or twice before, not by name, but by idea. It's more likely that we thought of the same thing at the same time, but I do know he's got operatives scanning FR for the occasional gem to use.
If Rush mentions this, will you alert me?

Ok, so I can't win. Anyway, Rush seems to be having multiple personality issues depending on the day. I think I got that right?

Many in the republican party have hung out to dry conservative values a long time ago.
