It's Happening Again: Georgia Woman Being Starved and Dehydrated

I think anyone who don't know what is going on needs to read this update....the family members in Alabama who have tried to make this a large ordeal for media attention and greed have taken Ms. Magouirk to Alabama and now THE DOCTORS WANT TO KNOW WHY THEY HAVE FOUGHT FOR HER TO BE MOVED OUT OF THE LAGRANGE HOSPICE!!!!!!! THERE IS NOTHING MORE THAT THEY CAN DO THAT THE HOSPICE WASN'T ALREADY DOING. Her living will does not say that she wanted to be kept alive...that was exaggerated for purposes of trying to justify a fight over Ms. Magourik. She now has fluid and blood building up around her lungs and the doctors can't figure out where or why it is there. She is too weak to be moved back to LaGrange now that she has been put through all of this. Ms. Magouriks' wish was not to be put in a nursing home, that is why her family put her in the hospice, because we all know that nursing homes are not the best place for care. Ms. Magouirk was as happy as she could have been and if she were in a good state of mind she would be very angry at the family in Alabama fortrying to use her for this type of attention. It is ashame the things people do for attention and greed.

I would also like to add that people trying to call and contactthe family involved ought to be ashamed for saying the things and doing the things that they have. They have nearly given the entire family a nervous breakdown. Let me also remind you that Ms. Gaddy has been taking care of Ms. Magouirk, not her nephew or brother. They maybe visited once a year if even that. Also Ms. Magouirks' nephew and brother have been contact Ms. Gaddy and her family making elaborate lies such as,.... someone in their family had a massive heart attack over this...., unfortunatley I have experienced this in my immediate family, my mother died of one, and any doctor will tell you a MASSIVE HEART ATTACK kills you or vegatates you. I just have to say this, get facts not hear say. I would not be so upset if the fact was her family actually had good intentions, but it is strictly over ATTENTION AND GREED. LET MS. MAGOURIK ENJOY THE TIME SHE HAS LEFT WITH HER REAL FAMILY WHO HAS TAKEN CARE OF HER FOR 10 YEARS, TOOK HER FOOD EVER DAY SHE COULDN'T COOK , WHO TOOK HER ANYWHERE SHE NEEDED TO GO, WHO HAVE LOVED HER FROM THE DAY THEY WERE BORN. Is there anything called private family matters anymore? Would you want your dying grandmother and your family put htrough this?? Think about this the next time you try to play the martyr by posting a comment. I ask that anyone who is normal please get the word out so that Ms. Gaddy and her family can get back to normal living. Please pray for Ms. Magouirk and her family and pray for those who are hypocritical.

Why did you try to post something to the Admin???? Can you not take any call outs?? Look I am sorry to offend you, but just look at what Mr. Mullinax is saying....MEDIA, MEDIA, MEDIA....WHAT DO YOU THINK HE IS IN IT FOR??? I just don't see why people think every situation is comparable to Terri Schiavo's case. It is nowhere in the same vicinity as hers. Ms. Magouirk is old, can we not die of things happening to our bodies due to old age anymore??? Mr. Mullinax and his family are out to get money and attention, to put it bluntly...they are your typical deadbeats looking for an easy way out in life. They are the kind of people looking for a reason to stay out of work, the kind of people who would sell their life story for a quick buck. Come on people, this still really happens. People are not always genuine anymore. Tell me how much interest can one express in a situation like this if they only came to see her maybe once a year if that? If you own a globe, you will see that they are less than 2 hours tops from her house. She would be so ashamed of how they are trying to make her granddaughter, Ms. Gaddy, look to the open public. Ms. Gaddy loves her grandmother and cannot believe that the Mullinexs' and other family members are doing this, by them demanding a move to Birmingham has only weakened her. The only reason they visited her when they did was to try to keep their name fresh in her thoughts, so when she did die, they would have some hopes of a settlement coming in. Guarantee this much, if she passes in the hospital in Birmingham, they will try and sue the hospital for something, they don't have what it is called character, something alot of people have forgotten about.

I see no one from his hometown trying to defend his side of the story except himself. Like I said before in a posting earlier....get a testimony from people who know him, not his next of kin, but actual residents who have seen his character and could be credible witnesses. I know that residents of Lagrange would highly vouch for Ms. Gaddy and her family, they are very nice, considerate, and thoughtful people. They all work with a variety of people in their professions and are highly thought of by most of those peoples lives that they have touched, to some people, if it weren't for Ms. Gaddy they wouldn't be the person(s) they are today. Ms. Magouirk was proud of her grand children and great grand children. She doesn't know anyone anymore and that is really killing her "REAL" family.

I think it is alot like poker, since they no longer can protest over Terri Schiavo (I would also like to add to any of her family members, I am personally sorry for your loss, and these comments are not directed at you or the late Mrs. Schiavo) they are on tilt, meaning when someone wins they can't wait for the next one, and boom here is an 80+ year old women on her last leg and her distant relatives want to make headlines. There goes the tilt or bandwagon....call it what you want that is what it is.

I am sorry if I sound like a "troll" but this is the most stupid comparison I have ever seen. Report me to the Admin again...I don't care, if you can't take it, don't dish it......I believe this website was designed to speak your mind wasn't it. Go on home and tough it out big guy...this is life whether you like it or not, we come into this earth helpless and we leave this earth helpless. The better life awaits us all, this is just a place we have to be until our time is up.

And to Mr. Mullinex and his family....from a legal stand point.....having a little knowledge on legal advise....before you go downgrading or slandering any names, consult your attorney on what you could say, because if it is verifiable lies and accusations you are in trouble with the law. It will come back to bite you in the butt, hope you can get people to vouch for your random acts of kindness. And for all people calling and harassing the families involved......that is a crime as well. Why would you want to call and harass families on a already upsetting issue???? That is the most cruel thing I have seen in my lifetime and honestly the saddest thing I have ever seen too.
