Can you two explain this to me why these same folks were mad at the taking of Elian by force but want force used this time in violation of the law?Well, apparently for some people, "The ends justify the means..." and we all know what party has that as an unofficial doctrine, don't we?

Wow. You hguys are so clever with your cute little "symbolism". I bet it makes you feel proud to slander a good decent man, just because he won't break the law like you want him to.

Listen to Rush? Ya mean the guy who urged his listeners to call 911 to report the killing of Terri? The guy who thinks that one person's life is so important that he was perfectly willing to advocate a course of action that could result in harm, injury, and/or death to untold numbers of people?
That Rush? Is that who you mean?
No thanks. I prefer listening to sane people.

We might also suggest that this entire eight year legal fiasco is abusive to Terri and the state has an obligation to take custody and prevent the three parties involved from furthering it pending a complete investigation.

Was Elian taken in violation of the law? I never heard any conservatives make a case for that. It's not the means that is unethical or wrong here, force is used to achieve the ends of governmental aims all the time, it is the end that makes the difference.
Reno ignored the 11th CCoA decision and another courts decision with the aim of depriving Elian of liberty. To intervene here would be to defend Terri's XIVth A. rights of life, due process and equal justice under the law. Congress didn't move to impeach and remove Clinton for defying the court ruling do you think Congress would have the will to impeach and remove Bush for defending the right to life? There is no other Constitutional sanction on a President's behavior in Office.

As usual you've added nothing but your gleeful cheering of a court decision to prevent a mother from putting water on the lips of her dying daughter.

Gleeful cheering? Post proof of "Gleeful cheering", or retract.

Get lost. Ahhh so, no proof. Just as I thought.
The standard reply now, to "Post proof, or retract" is "Get lost". Got it.
