Tomorrow I'm gonna be a grandma again:')
Happy Birthday!
Such pretty little heads:)
I love all the chin whiskers foals have:)
Becky
It wouldn't surprise me, with his snowflake blanket, but he'd sure be pretty if he stayed chestnut with the distinct blanket too.
Any sign of roaning on Speed?
Thank you!
I am full of decadent dinner... gonna hit the couch.
Wow! Congratulations :)
Speed went out into a paddock today, 40' X 120". (she'd been up at the barn with a stall and 24X24 corral) Bob said she ran the length of the paddock, reared up and turned while up, hit the ground running back :) Wish I'd seen it, although I watched her mom as a baby do just about the same.
No - it'll be awhile though before she starts shedding and I can get any idea of what color she's going to be. I still can't figure out the black around her hooves and up the back of her leg.
Sounds like the right way to celebrate a birthday to me :)
You know.... when you said "dun" for Tuffy, my mind read "roan". I think it's all the roan talk today ;~D
:) I have a lot of days like that. I think, based on her other foals, that Tuffy may turn white further up his body but he won't roan out like his mom. Her other foals always took the color of the sire, and his sire has a distinct blanket, no roaning anywhere.
I'm gonna hit the couch with the hubby ;~D
Bay and Cyn were 'good' all day, but the stress and excitement of nearing feeding time meant we got another 'show' right at the gate tonight. At least they're stalled and separated for the night, and she's hopefully one day closer to being out of heat. This is ridiculous! I said "We might have to spay her, neutering him sure didn't help!" :~\
He'll be striking if he stays the way he is... what happened with his blue eye? Did it turn brown?
Is he still a handful or are you and he getting along? ;~D
Thanks. It'a a little girl. My DIL has to be there at 5:30 in the morning. When, I was rotating thru OB I thought 7 was early. She isn't due until mid May but my DIL a high risk preg and the doctor says a big baby. We'll see. They said the same about my gd and she was only 6 lbs. She's starting to dilate though so I doubt if she would have made it til May anyway.
Still has his blue eye - he has decided he really likes people, especially if they pet him or scratch him :)
A little girl - that's wonderful. Will you be able to be there?
Yes, unless she gets in a big hurry. The plan is to bring her 4 y/o over as she gets closer.
She should be resting but she's at Walmarts, last minute shopping right now:')
Oh my, all that walking just might start things going before tomorrow morning. Keep us posted and take the camera to the hospital :)
I will. Back to horses though and thinking about Cyn... I have had my mare sice Aug (?). I have not seen any signs of her being in heat. I don't know if she is even breedable.
