Do you have a picture of a cavalry horse with the lead rope?
This vacuum is a Dirt Devil wind tunnel, and it's great. I used to simply hate bag-type vacuums with all the animal hair and frap that gets tracked in. I was always out of the bags.
What happened is I realized it wasn't sucking much at all and it used to be powerful. A metel clip I had vacuumed up at gotten stuck halfway up the tube, with a small cat wedged behind it. ;~D It was quite the process to try to dig in there and get it out.
Oh - and Rosie arrives in Seattle today but I won't see her till tomorrow. She's not actually going to stay here, the wedding she's attending is in Tacoma, a little under an hour away. But I'm gonna go pick her up tomorrow, since she doesn't really have anything else official to do tomorrow, and probably bring her down here to see the critters.
I'm bummed at ur weather, it's rainy cold windy. Actually blanketed the horses last night, and it's been a few weeks since they've needed them. I was hoping it'd be nice and warm and we could pose her on a horse for pictures. The Hobbit Hole would like that ;~D
My biggest problem was always pennies:) They are so close to the color of my carpet, that it's hard to see them till they are clacking around in the sweeper.

There's always a chance. Around here in spring, if you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes.
It's nice now, and clear. But yesterday we had periods of sun rain wind and hail!
Yep... I've vacuumed up my share of pennies and rocks ;~D
That sounds alot like around here. It was sunny and would have been warm but the wind kept it sweatshirt weather most of the day.

Well, here's to hoping it's nice out today and tomorrow.
Since I got the house clean yesterday, today I can clean and tidy up the barn.
It would be nice if it could stay dry. It's just kind of depressing to try to bring someone over to see the horses when the paddock is muddy, and the horses are muddy. This place dries up very well, compared to some areas. I only need two dry days for the mud to be gone, but I don't expect I'll get that lucky ;~D
It's mostly little kids toys, that I dont see, like clear lego : ( .....and another new vaccum cleaner is needed....
Well I must get out and help deaconjim with pulling wire for the fence.....

What's really bad is when you suck up something like a shoelace and it gets all wrapped around the beater and makes it stop turning, but the belt's still turning and the vacuum starts squalling like you've sucked a live cat up in it and you get that awful burnt rubber smell in the house and it doesn't go away for a LOOOONG time. I have a love/hate relationship with vacuums, but it's mostly hate. ;o)

When I had mine taken apart yesterday, I took the time to cut all the wrapped hair [mostly mine] and strings and yarns from around the roller.
I hate it when I suck up a shoelace that is still connected to the shoe.
This vacuum talk today has been a revelation:) I had no idea other women had "relationships" with their vacums too:) I don't feel like such an odd ball anymore.

Good morning everyone. I've been gone for a while.
Did a really hard trail ride Sunday hills and rocks, but Melody did fine, I was proud of her. One of the worst trails I
ve been on. We got onto it by accident and then got so far it was worse to turn back than to keep going. But all was well.
Hoping for some rain here in the Texas Hill Country.
LOL! I've been on trails like that. You just gotta shut your eyes, grit your teeth and hang on (and hope that your horse doesn't have a death wish). ;o)
Yeah, that's when all the squalling starts. I sucked up part of a Wal-Mart bag the other day that was hiding under the bed. Man, you've never heard such a racket in your life before I could stomp the vacuum enough to get it turned off. My cats want OUT of the house when they see me pick up a vacuum coz they know something bad is fixing to happen and they don't want it to happen to them. LOL!

I just posted this post on the garden thread, and thought I would post it here too. I'm wondering if I got carried away this year:)
I have my garden finished....well pretty much, unless something really special catches my eye.
But for the most part it's done now except for the growing.
I have a whole lot more variety this year, I'm getting braver at trying stuff, and so far everything looks to be staying healthy.
Here's a list of the things I have:

Gerbera Dasiys (running close to glads)

2 varities of ornamental grass
periwinkels
marigolds
4 varieties of coleus
impatients
4 varities of lillies
geraniums
asparagus fern (accents the gerbara dasiys)
sylvia (great for hummingbirds)

dianthius
snapdragons
phlox
alssyium
texas bluebells
iris
begonias
elephant ears
morning glories
moonflowers
1 rosebush
1 redbudtree
monkey grass
nandina bushes
Some of these things I only have one planted. I have a line of rocks that I planted different kinds in the nooks and crannies of the rocks. It looks great.
The purple alyssium I planted in a row next to a row of yellow marigolds. They both seem to compliment each other so well, they just look so bright next to each other.
Making this list has surprised me. I knew I had a lot of differnt things but I didn't realize this much:)

Our last trail ride... And ecurbh's first ride on Cyn, was like that. Yes, if you're lucky, it feels good when you are done to have pushed the envelope because you really learn that your horse is more capable than you might have thought. But sometimes you know it was more lucky than smart. I am ~SO~ looking forward to having our own trailer so we are no longer at the mercy of friends with questionable judgment of what a good trail is.
Wow~ It's really going to look lovely, and I look forward to your pictures.
I still want to do a pretend garden and grow some corn in containers by the gate this year ;~D
