LOL
"Don't you mess with ma' cigarettes woman!"
Hitman, I wouldnt call that being nice, I call that being a milquetoast.
We are on different definitions of nice.
Some of the toughest men I have ever known were very nice men, and I have long hoped to emualte them.
LOL - beer goggles! Oh well then...if you're looking for high quality, short term relationships...try the phonebook under "escort".
Of course then you pay by the hour. jk ;-o
Reasons I've heard for domestic disturbances I've answered:
Used rent money to buy drugs.
Used drug money to pay rent.
Caught him with ex-wife.
Caught him with ex-girlfriend.
Caught him with current wife or girlfriend.
Caught him with current wife and girlfriend.
After double date at the bar, her boyfriend made out with other guy's girlfriend in back seat of car on the way home.
And that's just for starters.
Then we agree more than we disagree.
I do maintain that when a female compliments a man on being 'nice,' it is no compliment. It's a euphamism for 'stripped of sexual instinct.'
A man can't be gentle until he has been tough. Women know that, and reward men with those traits more than the colloquially 'nice' ones.
I took a long time, but being a nice guy really paid off. My wife's first was a real jerk, treated her like dirt and ended up locked up. I've always treated her like she should be treated. 15 years and still counting, so happy together.
I think the college days of getting quality "short term" relationships diminishes with each passing year after 24 years of age. Alot of the good gals start getting scooped up for marriage and the good ones who don't get too smart for the games.
That was the case at least until Steaming Housewives and Sex in the City became the role models for millions of gals. I think it may be easy pickings now for a Rico Suave. But since I've been married for a few years now, I would not know for sure.
Who would have thought telling a guy he's nice and respectful is an insult?
I just report the facts, pal.
That's not the facts, just your opinion. If I say a guy is nice and respectful it's definately a compliment.
LOL. Cyborg is a chick, not a "pal".
hehehe
I don't doubt that at all.
I also don't doubt that when a woman compliments a man as being 'nice,' its usually part of a brush off. Not always, but usually.
Cyborg and I go way back - I know she is a chick, and she is also a pal. ;-)
Is this a Mars and Venus thing that will never be settled? Ever? :o) I think so.
Let me see if I understand you. If she tells me I'm a disrespectful a$$hole, that's a compliment. But, if she tells me I'm nice, I've just been insulted? No wonder I'm still single.
Wait a sec, I seem to have missed the point...
