Would you mind putting the picture 1 and three of Jimmy in the free republic who's who? Does it count if it was a "used to have" horse? :-)

That photo of the earth and all the lines cominig out of it made my head hurt.
Why, do magnetic field lines interfere with your tinfoil hat? ;-)

Good morning everyone.

Sorry, no new pictures today, I have to be at work so I can afford to buy his feed :)

No name yet, he was born on my son's birthday so my son wants to name him TE Archangel, the TE being for our ranch. Still thinking about it, the name picked out before he was born, TE Final Fantasy doesn't work for him :)

"Got a name for him/her yet?"

Movies are a good source of inspiration for names. I would recommend that you used the name of Steve Martin's dog in "The Jerk".

I don't know if names that refer to appaloosa markings are considered trite in appaloosa circles... ;~D (too many horses named 'Spot') but when I look at him, and think about the winter you've had, I cant help but think of snow... Desert Snow, Desert Flurry, Snowcap, something like that.

"You know what I'd like to do? Guess your weight."

"Wow, you're really trying to be accurate."

"Wait a minute, what's happening to my special purpose?!"

He's got the snowy blanket!

I've been working today.... still more to do. Seems many are elsewhere today, vey quiet!

I took off horse blankets first thing at breakfast this morning, it's so nice. I hung them on fenceposts near their feedpans so I could put them on tonight at feeding time.

Well.... my ~husband's~ horse Cyn grabbed her blanket off the post and drug it around in the dirt. She's a fussbudget. :~\ I think the only thing that stopped her was that it freaked Bay out to see that (He's afraid of blankets and tarps that are not his own) and he went blowing and snorting running out to pasture. She ditched it and went after him.

LOL...funny Cyn.

Our crazy weather...It's 60 degress, but believe it or not it's very cold. the wind is blowing hard, and it's just downright chilly.

Almost time for afternoon feeding, then, I might think of riding some, but right now it doesn't look promising.

Becky

Hi everyone.
You sure had an interesting fact finding morning!
went to get 800 lb of horse feed. We have had problems getting the mare and foal feed, and also good quality sweet feed because our local feed store is closing. Our nearest place is a good 40 mins away, and when we got there they didnt have what we normally have.
We took advice from the owner who has 300 horses.
We have gone over to Nutrena SafeChoice (advanced Equine Formula for all life stages). We have weighed and measured quantity for our lactatin mares and foals. It smells good!
The horses didnt even pause for breath when I fed it to them! So i guess its going to be a winner. : )
