Somebody beat you to it. Gunbroker.com is one auction site, probably the biggest.
Happy Friday!!!!!
Good morning! Happy Friday indeed!
This is moving weekend, or the first of 'em. I want to move out to the house by the beginning of March, so I have time to really clean my house from top to bottom while it's empty, and before the closing on March 15th.
Hopefully people call about the free furniture soon. I hate to trash it when it's still serviceable...just shabby.
I think GoodWill takes furniture.
I'd just be kinda embarassed to give it to anyplace to sell - it's really ragged! We do have a Salvation Army place. They don't really have much in the way of furniture, but maybe that's just because no one gave them any, I dunno.
I still haven't put it in the regular paper yet. That'd likely work. People will take stuff like that to put out at camp or in their workshops.
It sold in about two days of actually being listed! For full asking price, and the buyers had just sold a house a few days earlier and had CASH. So we're just waiting long enough for the legal stuff to go through and for me to get myself outta there.
I'm still not completely used to the idea. It happened too fast!
mmmmmmm....three day weekend....
mornin' (yawn)
Circus was okay last night. Luke was way over stimulated and I'm not sure how much of the actual show that he saw. Personally I had the particular pleasure of having Luke on one side of me with his cotton candy and a two-year old on the other side who managed to empty the entire contents of his juice box on my sleeve and the coats in my lap.
Let's just say I was relieved when I realized it was juice.
That's about the way I'm looking at it! I'm just hoping the finding-homes-for-kitties thing falls into place in the same way as everything else has. And trying to be trusting!
Ha!
I took Joshua and the teacher's five year old daughter to the playset in Braums while Matthew was at Latin yesterday. Normally, I just get a small soda to justify our presense, you know...I oughta buy something, huh? LOL
Well, the teacher's daughter apparently got thirsty while she was playing 'cause she came out and drank my entire soda in one swig. ROFLOL! I sat and pretended I had soda for the rest of the hour we were there.
Good morning, morning crew!
~sip~
Heh...poor planning is all...I only had enough on hand to pay for the soda. I waa actually secretly glad I didn't get coffee...
I'll plan better next time and get everyone a soda. Her mom didn't charge me for Latin this month because I took the little girl each time to play somewhere during that hour of class! She's the sweetest thing.
It was just funny...the soda I planned on sipping for an hour went down in about 30 seconds. I looked and went "D'OH!"
ROFLOL! I think it's hysterical.
No free refills either...blah.
Not at the circus. The cotton candy was $9.00. 'course it came with a "hat"...
Well, the hat would make it all worthwhile then!
*sigh*
Speaking of poor planning, for one reason or another, this morning I ran so late that I didn't have time to pack lunch. Have to run out to the grocery to get something.
I hate it when that happens! I can get a good lunch at the grocery for four or five bucks or less...but when I make it myself it's far cheaper!
I guess I can consider it a celebration for all the furniture I've sold...I have a bit of cash right now. Not that I should blow it, but...
Ha ha!!
What?
I know what you mean about the extra cash. Our return is on the way and I'm determined that other than paying bills, we are not going nuts! I'm allowing one splurge...chinese food down the street.
Other than that, it's just for paying bills and getting the septic sucked out.
