I would loooooove to, and those camp reports you wrote were classics. They should have all been saved and kept for posterity.

I do have some of the old threads saved, but haven't looked at them lately.

Arts and Crafts shed, eh? Sounds like a proposition I would be foolish to refuse, lol.

Welcome.

It's always good to meet someone with a more lame homepage than mine.

Cheers.

Perhaps I can come up with some new ones every now and then, but only Basecampers will remember the Exodus and our arrival in the Land of Milk, Honey, and Camp Itch-n-Scratch!

Got to jazz it up. It seems that they cleaned up my old one after a couple of years of non-use. Any suggestions, like a smoking lounge and service area for adult beverages?

A quick scan of some of the posts shows a lot of familiar names that have very fond memories attached to them.
Let me click the heels of my red shoes and say "there's no place like home"!

Those camp reports helped me get ready and tolerate working in a place that ceased to be fun. I got out of there in such a way that when I did my student teaching they had to pay me unemployment. LOL when they found out!!!!!!!

I'll bet you make your kids laugh. They must love you as a teacher. Best way to change their minds, thru laughter. (Especially pointing out to them how funny the Dem's are)

I'm glad to hear you're still doing lawyering too. You are a busy man.

Yeah, they love it when I show my cynical side and don't just show it on the Dems. They know I can't tolerate BS and it doesn't matter from wence it comes!

LOL... I remember when you went thru all that. You made quite a life change. Glad to hear it's all leveling out for you.

9/11 caused you a lot of grief too if I remember correctly. You were sort of in the thick of it, weren't you?

I'll bet. Well..we're still pretty loose on DD. It's still a place to come and relax and chat away from the Trolls and Flames.

We don't get too serious here. Most times..lol.

In an indirect way- I was one of the Officials assigned to help the Municipality batten down the hatches security wise, and had to help coordinate drafting new disaster plans, natural and otherwise.
My wife had a cousin on one of the Boston planes, so it hit home to us in that way.

Damn. When your piggies hurt, you hurt all over.

Go find thyself a great massage therapist, sooner rather than later.

It's good to see that the group is still up and running. I gotta go and mark up some papers so the little darlings can start their final drafts of their term papers. I'll try and check in tomorrow afternoon when I get home-gotta go out with the better half for dinner in the PM and we're going to Boston Saturday morning.

No, I'm NOT a tree hugger in anyway. My beef in my OWN area is that it is a beautiful valley with vineyards and orchards etc. So many of the orchards have been wiped out and ugly, all look the same houses have been built. The cottage winery industry is a big industry here as well as Technology. But other than that, there is a ton of retirees moving here from the east. There are plenty of service type jobs but they are low paying. Since the building boom which started about 10 years ago, there have been many bear, wolf, cougar/human encounters. I believe it's because man is invading the wild animals area. A lot of these homes are simply perched on these steep hillsides. As we saw summer before last, one fire became a major major disaster.

Oh I never knew all that. I just knew that it hit you hard at the time. It was a coming together of a few events I guess.

Well.. I have to get some homemade New England fish Chow-duh in me.. and then I'll be back for awhile. Like I said before, the movers will be here first thing in the morning.

Al's in the hot spa, but I don't think I'll make it tonight. I just need some food right now. bbs

LOL - I thought I told you. Actually I sent all the "new" information to Servant. I thought he was our "records keeper"!! I guess that was just for emergencies. Anyway, you can send another if you like.
