Where are you? Maybe we need sort of a north/south/east/west divisional thing. Don't think any of us are quite set up to haul real long distances. :)

Too bad for Mark Martin is all I got to say. The guy gave it the old college try. Busch deserved to win the thing; the rules were set up beforehand.

Now, since this is the offseason, can someone tell me is Smoke is going to get himself a new 20 car? Or a new engine? Or something? Even without the crash earlier in the chase, Smoke has been competitive, but his car hasn't been able to do his driving justice. My gripe was his absolute inability to keep up with Junior in the last five laps at Daytona, even with draughting help.

Come'on, Tony, get yourself a faster car!

Be Seeing You,

Chris

When I have to mow at work I make different tracks to keep myself entertained:

Pocono for the part in front of the fence by the mailbox.
Daytona for the back of the office yard.
Sonoma & Watkins Glenn by the plants because of the hill.

Maybe I need to get a helmet and ear piece for the cell phone so I can call the JDT pit crew...

Ya think he just might take NAPA with him? IMO, he is one of the best spokesman a sponsor could have.

I wish I had taped them!!

The only one I have is Talladega from this year.

I guess I can watch some of the races on Nascar.com Trackpass.

Do you just tour the US?

No road courses, never understood the "need" for them anyway. Maybe it's being in Texas where we could have a 500 mile drag race if we wanted, but who would get to watch it? Will stick to the "oval".

Have the power, working on gear ratios. Trying to find that fine line between acceleration and overall top end.

We may have our first real withdrawl/breakdown going on here.

WCG keeps trying to pick Her team on Yahoo for the next race.

I might need some help with an intervention here folks...

I really wanted to write and send some words of encouragement, but...but...but...

Do you know there is NO race next week? Just what are we supposed to do? This is a long weekend and there is no race. It's supposed to be cold, in fact, the front is coming through now and it's raining. Maybe I can say it's a rain-out. That's the ticket, it's a rain-out. It's frustrating I know, but better than no race. Do you know there is no race next week?.....

No AFLAC, huh? This could be messy. ;-]

I'm sure glad to see folks are letting their stuff go at the end of the Homestead thread .. and being pretty civil doing it. Altho I'm getting pretty quick at filling in all the special characters used by some folk. lol

We had a nice crowd of folks show up during and towards the end of the season, on to next year and whatever gets cooked up for us to watch. ;-)

To All , A Safe Holiday and Thanks to the FR Pit Crew and all the FRFL contenders for a great year and a heckuva ride around the circuit!

Thanks Norm. Now that the season is over I'm sure the weather here will change from gorgeous Sundays to miserable dreary stay inside days

Once again Mrs Bender will cook up the standard dinner with every thing done on time and devine tasting.

Give Thanks for all the wonderous things we are provided...

Let me put it this way; the only way I would have been really happy is if the driver that would've won it without The Chase would also have won it with The Chase. The fact that it was Kurt "Ears" Busch (hat tip for the new nickname to Douglas Ladd of The Pits) just made it all the worse.

There's already a new name for the bottom of the Chase pack - "The Mayfield Memorial Golden Ticket" (he would've been 15th without it). Now, should I name the $1 million booby prize after McMurray or Havoline (seeing Havoline is considering pulling out of NA$CAR because of The Chase)?

Looking back through Jayski's site (in last week's news), it seems NASCAR's looking at killing the lucky dog next year. There was an article in USA Today last week when a NASCAR bigshot said that the pardon process created confusion among the fans and competitors.
