I don't think their play is for anything in the south. its for the southwest. The Kerry states plus NM,NV,AZ adds up to 272 I believe. we need to deny them something in the upper midwest - WISC or MINN - to counter it.
If Bayh runs, Indiana will go blue.
Rumor is that Bayh turned down the number 2. He is smart.
all this said - I am by no means predicting she can win. we probably have one more election left where an all white male, conservative ticket could win, especially against Hillary, who does have high negatives. but after that, I think the two white male conservative formula won't cut it anymore. too many demographic changes and population shifts. we need to start grooming some good women Republican candidates, and some Hispanics.
