I welcome BS to FreeRepublic... Our chance to play with imbeciles. Another plus is that we are ever honing our dissemination skills. The DUers want the kool-aid and prefer to live in their bubble. You can't even log on there if you have a free E-mail acct.. So I can browse their site (mostly for laughs) but have no input. We get all perspectives here at free republic but be aware... idiots are not well received and total horse$hit will get zotted. I've been set straight more than a few times...it is almost never personal. P.S. If you can't take the heat, and you too love the kool-aid, maybe it's best you leave the kitchen.

From post: "Our chance to play with imbeciles. "

Idiots - ?

kitchen - ? Now that is some kind of mentality -

I just hope that God helps those who need it the most - and I believe he already knows certain names - and will act accordingly -

Let the one without sin cast the first stone -

I didn't mean to B&&Ch - but it's almost epidemic of late. You go looking for "news" and keep clicking on Vanities, that gets tiresome.

And where does the guy put this Vanity - where he's complaining ABOUT Vanities - "NEWS". (head shaking)

Your original post:

"In the past few weeks we've been inundated with a mass of conspiracy theories, hand-wringing doom sayers, and vanity after vanity."

"It's getting more and more discouraging to read here which I suppose is what a lot of these posters are attempting to accomplish."

+++++

I posted and you LOL-d it off

+++++++

Ignor the questions - another tactic - ?

You put it all down to one word - ?

Oh, please - - Give us humble ones your "thoughts" so that others will know not to "displease" -

What was your reason - explain it - so that others might learn "not" to make the "same" mistake - wasn't that what you wanted - ?

Did I read the complaint wrong - ? Too many conspiracies and doom and gloom posts wasn't it - Well, point out the error of the way -

If you expect all post to be upbeat or happy ones - I have to ask - How can that be - with the world around us going crazy - ? And when does a conspiracy stop being a conspiracy - when exactly is that "moment" in time - what does it take to go from conspiracy to a "real possibility" - ? Please impart your wisdom so that others might learn -

And might there be a slight hint of paranoia on your part -

"a mental disorder characterized by delusions, as of grandeur -" -

I ask because of your line - "It's getting more and more discouraging to read here which I suppose is what a lot of these posters are attempting to accomplish."

Wondering -

Does anyone know when a California voter should expect to receive an absentee balot by mail? Thanks.

Calm down, okay? I was simply voicing a concern I have had for a few weeks now. Many of the comments have explained to me in a very nice way that what I am seeing and sensing is normal for this forum during election time.

Okay - at this point I just have to ask - "a stupid question" -

Does one wear their pajamas in the kitchen also - or just when one is here at the board posting post to anger the "old" posters (as some seem to imply) ? Inquiring minds want to know :)

I feel bad for the one wife of a soldier serving this nation - who read this thread (and probably all the others of the like) and now is left doubting if this is the right place for her -

I just wish they would "explain" what it is they are getting at - and name names and threads - as an example instead of making all these "blanket attacks" -

just my thoughts - I mean if you weren't here at the start to know how it "was" - well then you aren't going to understand when an attack is made unless they explain what exactly the difference is -

Just a few good examples - because I read the guidelines - and if you ask me - everyone isn't going by them - not just the new people -

So, it seems to us new ones that we are being called out as the problem - and I'm wondering if that should be. If it is so - then "show" us the error of our ways - because not all of us are trolls or are coming here to disrupt -

Is it so wrong to want to add thoughts - to try to solve issues that are tearing this nation apart - - to get other ideas to add - in hopes of turning things around -

Dialogue: "interchange of ideas by "open discussion" - "

Wouldn't it be nice -

I'm just trying to say - I was here once before - and it was for the same reason - I was alarmed at what I was seeing and hearing -

The Clinton years - turned my world upside down but no one seemed to think the same way until I looked around and eventually found this place. I didn't stay after the "scum" won(meaning Clinton wasn't removed) because back then it was even less friendly than it is today -

The intellect here is amazing at times and I have often wondered if this place was set up for only professional people - and when I see posts like your post - it makes me wonder even more - am I at the wrong place since I am just a citizen of this country, nothing more or less -

I have a close relative in the Guard and it's a lot more personal now than then - (family wise) - and the stakes are "much" higher after "Clinton" - he did enough harm to this nation and another like him trying to get in is downright unacceptable - to put it mildly -

I need to know what is going on "behind" the news we get from the major media(or I'll go totally bonkers) and this is the best place for that - but if this is a place set up for professionals to bring issues and discuss them - then I will gladly look around or just read from here on out - I don't want to do anything to take away the value of what is gotten here -

Thanks -

I understand. I read here for a long time before I joined and I didn't post for a long time after I joined. I rarely post articles for content. I felt like I was a bit out of my league at first. But if something strikes my fancy, I will post and I love to participate in the live threads. They are a ton of fun. Also appreciate them when I'm at work and need to know how a certain speech is going, etc.

I absolutely love this site. The dialogue that we are engaging in, right now... as I post, is exactly why. I too am new. And, yes, my pj's are worn 24/7. My posts usually reflect my point "and" the stirred emotions of my convictions. I sometimes engage in diatribes, cliches, etc., to reflect my point. I do not apologize for this. Nor do I ask anyone else to. I stand by my post that you originally responded to (posted to "all", by the way) and I also stand by your right to be critical. It is the "nature of this beast" called FreeREpublic. Dialogue ain't always gotta be nice, dialogue has just gotta "be".

If you watch any of the MSM, that is what is depressing. I think people need a place to vent and feel better. I come here everytime I become concerned about the election. I always go away feeling better. I think that is what the FreeRepublic is for.

I am not concerned that Bush will get enough votes from real people to win the election. My concern is this effort by the Democrats to make this a fraudulent election one way or another. The Democrats are taking the election process down a dangerous road.
