Thanks, I didn't know that the two volcanoes had a common caldera. That could be real interesting if Ranier ever does go off as predicted. What I mean is, is anybody really watching Mt. Ranier now. The experts had said it would be the next one to erupt.

I've been watching the "recently restored" webcam at Mt. St. Helens hoping to see something. With my luck, it will be at 3:00am and it won't be visible on camera. I will be up, but won't be able to see it (lol). It's pretty ironic that they got it working again just in time to be flooded by people trying to get a glimpse of an eruption.

actually I think those are trees floating.

I believe spirit lake rose about 300 feet after that eruption from all the mud and mountain fallen into it

Oh yeah, almost forgot about that. Some indian names for Mt. St. Helens I found Lawelatla ("One From Whom Smoke Comes"), Loowala Clough ("Smoking Mountain"),Tahonelatclah ("Fire Mountain") Loo-Wit-Lat-Kla("Keeper of the Fire").

right on.... I was on Rainier on Sunday looking at it one more time to the south in the distance.

Its amazing what happened there.
