:'). They look like gentle giants. The first pic actually shows how large they are. That guy by the horse looks tall himself.

Yeah....we figure 30 is a longer sentence they we would have gotten if we had killed each other, so it's long enough:) I'm going one way, he's going another, at least for the night....
Just kidding

I have some animal pics that I'll gradually put up. I already had quiet a few posted and also it just didn't seem appropriate to be posting tarantulas among the wedding pictures:')

You can run barrels here pretty much all year, alot of indoor arenas. They have several Associations and lots of jackpots that go on all over. But I think the main season is like from March to Oct.
We, my daughters, and I have never really "joined", we just usually go to the races that are closest. If you join with the goal of winning a year end award in an Association, you are talking lots, and lots of travel and at least once a week attendence. Lots of time and money involved for that.

And the cake was lovely. :~)

LOL. Well, I'm going to finish this breakfast taco and then go out and mow. Getting the place ready for company. Then I have to start inside. I hate housework:'(

This is a picture of a half Belgian half Quarter horse that I recently sold. I had him for 12 years and it was hard to let him go. He was good under saddle and tireless trail horse. I'm gonna miss him.

Another poster (choctawsquaw) to this thread had a Belgian/Quarter cross. She was a great trail horse too.
Do you do any specific discipline with your horses?
Becky
To: cowboyway
I got to ride a Belgian/Quarter horse at my instructors. He was the first horse I learned on. He was really good. He was really careful with me until he knew that I had learned how to ride, then he started to goof off LOL.

This is a half Belgian, half Quarter horse that I recently sold. Called him Mountain Man. Good under saddle and tireless on trail. Had him for about 12 years. Gonna miss him.

I used to calf rope. Haven't done it in several years because my roping horse, Tuff got hurt and also, I ended up spending a lot of time on the road with my job. But I recently bought a 3 year old that I plan to train for roping.
Sorry about the extra post. After my initial post didn't display for about 30 minutes, I decided that I must have clicked the wrong button and decided to send it again. Murphy's law.
