Good morning!
~yawn~
Need coffee!
LOL! Too funny...
Thanks for the replay... ;-)
Sam - the Shockoe Bottom area has been condemned, it's all mud and water.
My office is just a couple of blocks up. We have a delayed opening today and I ~think~ I know how I can get there. But I'm not taking any chances if there's mud or standing water still. For some reason the (rat bastidge lie'bral carpetbaggin' tax tax tax lying) powers that be thought it made sense to close some of our buildings, but not all.
They've evacuated a lower part of the county due to an anticipated dam failure. I'll post some pics when I find them.
Suzi - I was NOT born in 1957...
Jeepers.... I did see that it was a mess out your way.
Yeah it's a bit damp...
Okay, the building I park in is CLOSED. I'm NOT going in.
And if they try to make me count it as personal time, I'll just kill 'em. That'll solve a number of problems.
I'm glad you're not going in! What a mess!
Good morning all!
Good morning! Very, very soggy out there and the rivers are running high...but not over the road anywhere, so we're doing far better than Virginia. How are things today, Corin? Assuming you have power...
Sounds like one barrier too many between you and work today. I don't want to go in either.
Ooops...posted before I saw your posts.
Stay safe! And dry. Dry is good.
Dry and safe is very good. Glad to hear it.
So far, we have evacuation plans to head for Clearwater (on the west side of the state) if we need to go. But I won't make that decision until Friday probably.
Keep in touch as much as you can! You're in my prayers, along with the rest of the Florida contigent.
Sometimes I'm vey glad the worst we have to deal with is cold and snow...
I remember being dry when I was younger.
We've had 32 inches of rain since June. 1/4 of that was yesterday.
My offices are now opening at noon. I'm still thinkin' I just won't bother.
Y'all are always welcome here. But here ain't much right now. ;-)
*yawn* morning... ooo slow start today. for some reason softball last night made me sore. I hope everyone does not have to swim to work this morning. From the sound of things that might be not far off.
yeah... homely wuz born in 1947...
sounds reasonable tuh me... should be clear and sunny here tuhday... hi of 81...
we got over a foot of rain 'round here last week, but the ground here don't hold the water... we had flash flood watches fer most of the county, but that's only in the bottoms... most folk live on the high ground... the bottoms is fer growin' crops...
southern MO... between Lebanon and Bennett Springs... just off'n the 44...
