my dsl modem got struck by lightning.
I can still get on with dial up, though, only I'm so busy that I hardly have time to fool with making a new connection every time I want to check in for a minute. Not to mention that daughter is here and using the computer and so is my wife.
But I want to catch up with everyone, so will be around more very soon, one way or the other.

Just saw an ad on TV--Quentin Tarantino is directing a Jet Li movie called "Hero" due out August 27. It looks AMAZING. Like, take "The Last Samurai" and multiply the professionalism of the martial arts about 100 times with battle scenes on the size scale of RoTK, except with real actors rather than cgi--that's what it looks like.
