ummmm....he was the third orc on the left...you know those guys...they look all alike...especially with those helmets...

HA! I meant ROTJ...*mutters* stupid lucas....

Speaking of SW, have any of you ever seen THIS SITE before? I ran across it a long time ago, and still find it absolutely hilarious. It was the same kind of thing I wanted to do for LOTR., but again, I am no great artist.

Probably posting this too late, since you've already left, but... when you see her, just say (innocently), "I'm soooo sorry about your allergies... you know, I asked if you had any pet allergies, but Brother told me you didn't..."

Heh heh heh...

See, that's why we didn't do youth groups, either...

Sorry Jen, that's just being silly. Youth group would have done you all some good. I'll stop before I say something I'll regret.

As for showing up drunk, this kid drove himself and was immediately expelled.

"Han Solo was in Return of the King?"

Don't you remember when he threw Boba Fett into Mount Doom? :)

I think you will be pleasantly surprised as Jr. gets a little older to find out how well he will do!

Oh, I have no doubt that he will turn things around. Our main concern right now is that he is blowing his own chance to follow his dream.

When we went, the Chicago ComiCon was the second biggest comics-related con in the country, after the San Diego ComiCon. We actually went because both Rose and I were heavily into Babylon 5 then, and the show's creator J. Michael Straczynski was appearing there with clips from yet-to-be-released episodes. We had a great time! The JMS appearance had something like 2500 people packed in to the biggest conference area the hotel had...

I think the year after we went the con got bought out, and the name was changed to WizardCon. Don't know if that's still being put on each year, or not.

"When I was teaching 6th graders, the first lesson, first day of school, was f(x)=y."

Cool. I wish I'd had that in 6th grade. I was bored silly in math from about 4th grade through 9th grade because they kept repeating the same material for the sake of those who didn't pick it up the first time--which was fine for them, but not for me. Hence my tendency to read comic-books in class :)

That sounds fun! I guess at some of the cons there is a lot of SF crossover. Someone who attended some 1970s Comic Art Conventions in New York told me Isaac Asimov and Hal Clement were there.
