Okay, ladies ....
this is a 2" curling iron with spring grip, electric edition:

This works well for shoulder-length hair. 2J, your hair is too long for this, I suspect. Have you tried the steam rollers? Much nicer to the hair, and the steam penetrates even the thickest winds of hair.
Hair, do you spiral your hair around the iron?
