'Mid My Gold-brown Curls
by George Eliot

'Mid my gold-brown curls
There twined a silver hair:
And scarcely knew 'twas there.
Coiled in my velvet sleeve it lay
And like a serpent hissed:
"Me thou canst pluck and fling away,
One hair is lightly missed;
When all the wintry army muster in array?"

'Mid My Gold-brown Curls
by George Eliot
I used to worry about those little gray things on my head
'twas a waste of time
cause now my golden locks have turned
to silver in time and their all mine

Sky-Mountain

Prairie-land is golden,
Airy, wide;
The sky our only mountain;
We, inside.
Who would choose a small land
Where the hills
Steadily asserting
Granite wills,
Narrow all horizons,
Stand apart?
Ah, my Kansas prairie
In the sky-mountain's heart!

Good morning, Sam.
Nice poem this morning "Sky-Mountain."
Wish I could have seen the Kansas prairie last fall, didn't go into Kansas far enough.
Sorry I can't hear the tunes. I hope others can. Coffee and donuts are good. Thanks Sam.

Oh gee Sam, that seems like a lot of work. I can do music if you wish to take a break from it. You are so faithful posting it every day and I do apreciate it .

I have some back-up sites, it's just that the selections aren't as numerous.

Hi, everyone .. hope you are having a great Monday!
The Years
Sarah Teasdale
To-night I close my eyes and see
A strange procession passing me --
The years before I saw your face
Go by me with a wistful grace;
They pass, the sensitive, shy years,
As one who strives to dance, half blind with tears.
The years went by and never knew
That each one brought me nearer you;
Their path was narrow and apart
And yet it led me to your heart --
Oh, sensitive, shy years, oh, lonely years,
That strove to sing with voices drowned in tears.

Oh my gosh Colonel, I am sobbing here. What a poem!
It really gets to the core of the issue doesn't it?
