Evenin Ramius; got my American Rifleman this weekend, got the Kimber Stainless TLE .45ACP on the back cover. That looks good enough to get me go auto finally. (not that I'd give up my wheel gun, completely).

It's OK, Osage... I was a wheelgun man for a long, long time. Still am. I still have a couple of .357's, and I'm convinced that it's just plain the best caliber to reload for. I've crimped literally thousands and thousands of rounds of that through my Dillon.
But I do have a weakspot for .45 ACP in general, and Kimber in particular. They simply have the best interpretation of the 1911 going. It would cost several hundred bucks of smithing to get a Colt up to what a Kimber does right out of the box. It's the same... only better.
