Hi, How you doin?
To: Wneighbor
Yeah, if I took long lunch breaks. My boss goes over there sometimes for lunch. But then walking the grounds at work isn't too bad either. That's where I flushed out that turkey!
To: My back yard
Hi there! I'm getting together some more stuff to send to the troops and watchin the race! How are you?

They're not exactly landscaped, except around the buildings, and there are some test plots and stuff. They also have naturalized woodsy type places with dirt roads for pickups and tractors and such and a lake.

Hehehe....Jeffie goin' backwards.

I find myself shy to just write to him out of the blue! - I don't know why, we were all strangers here once! How do you think I feel when I send a knife to an utter stranger who will probably never hear about me again? BTW, I should post a copy of the cover letter for suggestions. I may be doing something wrong, and someone may spot something.
In your case, just drop WN's name or mine in the email, and you won't be a stranger any more. The hard part's already done for you.
What bothers me most are the requests for something for those troops who get little or nothing from family and friends. A few of the people on the list fall in that category. I think Jerry watches out for them, too.
Oh, and in case John f'n Kerry lurks here (fat chance), how much have YOU, the greatest hero since George Washington, and your band of brothers, done for our troops? Other than hinting at policies that would just get more of them killed.

Actually, it's more of a pond than a lake, but there's water in it. :)

When I was on my "Lose the Baby Fat" diet almost six years ago (lost 80 pounds -but eventually gained 20 of it of it back), I had parsely tea. The stuff doesn't taste like much, but it works. When I bought it, it came loose in a big grocery sack. Talk about buying in bulk, LOL.
Prolly should ping rosie to that tidbit... parsely tea.

I grow flat leaf parsley in my front flower bed. Love the stuff. Tastes nothing like that decorator frilly stuff!

Heh...the twenty pounds number wasn't what I've lost...it's what I have left to lose.Doh! Well, I thought that sounded like a different number than you mentioned on your last weigh-in--I was like, "Whoah! Rosie must be on a starvation diet"--LOL! Oh, well, just consider that a pre-emptive congratulations for when you reach 20 pounds lost :)
Speaking of homemade bread, I just ate the last piece of what was in the house--actually not homemade, a roll of Italian bread I picked up at a bakery this week. Mmmm--but now it's gone :(
I treated myself to that 'cause I finished my workout and I was hungry. Ended up working out for an hour and half, which was about three times longer than I was planning. It was the first time I've worked out outdoors in the fresh air since the weather started to warm up, so I guess that inspired me. How's your workouts coming?

What's parsley tea do? Does it help with weight loss or something?
To: JenB
Just checked and that Bermuda Triangle special is showing from 8-10 pm here and then replaying an hour later.
To: Wneighbor
Parsley tea with lemon really isn't bad once you get used to it. It was on the diet cuz it is somewhat of a diuretic, and much safer than other means of getting rid of excess fuilds in the system. It will clean up your system!
Supposedly it is "helpful for the treatment and treatment of bedwetting, bladder infections, blood disorders, diabetes, edema, gallstones, halitosis, jaundice, kidney disease, kidney stones, prostate disorders and water retention." according to an article I read.
If you dried out the leaves, you prolly have the same thing that is used in the tea. IIRC, it wasn't the frilly stuff either.

I've never tried the parsley as a tea. I put it on top of stuff, in my salad etc. A little bit of it goes a *long* way! It has a very good flavor IMO. And is supposed to be very nutritious. Good for the blood.
