Thanks for the hug. I needed that. Sometimes things are just too hard.

I'm gonna have to do something like that. Well. If I wasn't determined to move back home tonight.

I called my friend Benny. I asked him to come up and stay here with me if this guy gets back in my class again. But, that would be a whole other set of issues I don't want to have on hand. Still, I would feel better if somebody was here this week.

I am not rational tonight. That is really stupid to drag Benny up here. And after next Tuesday this quarter is over anyway and I have a week off. The thing that worries me the most is that this guy will sign up for another one of my classes. I just can't handle that.

Sorry... somebody called and I got pulled away...

That guy sounds like he needs to be just gone from the school.

Hey... very cool. That's a pretty boat. I saw it once a long time ago in Seattle.

Trouble is, he's got rights that got to be looked after too. If he enrolls again, we can't get rid of him yet.

I am not kidding when I say this, ever since the last confrontation I have walked on eggshells with this guy. Very carefully evaluating everything I say to him as well as how I say it. It has been very stressful to me doing that because I am always afraid I am going to say the wrong thing or say it in the wrong way. I KNOW that I have been absolutely as tactful as anyone could be in this.

And tonight I didn't say anything. It was final exam night and he got mad because he couldn't make something on his drawing come out the way he wanted. And he threw this tantrum when time was up for the exam.

I liked that boat too. Did you go on it when it was in Seattle? I think I'd like to see one like that. Unlikely from where I'm at.

Yikes... and the real truth is too that he basically needs to consider some other line of work. He'll never last in a office somewhere if he is that short-fused.

It sounds like he may be trying to game the system. Act crazy enough, and they'll give you what you want to keep you quiet.

I didn't ever get on it. It was underway and I just sailed around it while it was out in the Sound. Pretty darn cool.

Another interesting factoid on the Eagle: It was originally a training ship for the German Navy, and was taken as a war prize after WW2. The Seal and emblem of the Nazi navy, swastika and all, is still embedded in the deck of the captain's cabin. It's about four feet across, and all brass I think.

This guy is taking my classes because he is in his 50's and has not been able to get permanent employment anywhere in years. He has been a drafter but goes in on temp assignments and then is not made permanent. He thinks if he gets a degree that will get him a job.

Thing is... I could tell way back in the first quarter that his problem was not a degree or skill.... it's his attitude. I'd have sent him down the road when I was a supervisor too! No brainer there.

I am trying to comfort myself into feeling better. Laid up in bed with the laptop and LOTS AND LOTS of chocolate! It isn't working yet though. oh, and weapons in reach... how the heck do I know this bozo doesn't know where I live?

Funny, I've been a mom too long to fall for those tactics!!! LOL
