You can also call Icon Productions at
1 - 800 - 353 - 6102 to reserve tickets for the upcoming movie, The Passion of Christ.
I heard that they will also tell you what movie theaters will be showing this movie in your area. (Can't confirm this, but that is what I heard this morning on Catholic Radio.)
Karen... you may want to confirm this.

Jay, thank you so much for the ping! I'm pinging the Admin Mod to take a look at this thread. The ticket agent told me they are overwhelmed by the response and the tickets are selling out very quickly. Since there's a pretty large contingent of FR posters interested in this film, and who wouldn't want to miss this opportunity, I'd request the Admin consider moving this thread to breaking news?
Oh, MAN, I am so excited I can barely stand it! I just called the hotline at the (888) 227 - 1152 number. They were so nice. They said they can't tell you specifically what theater the movie is playing in, but they can tell you if it will be within 15 miles of your locale. They said I would have no problem! Yippee!! Also, the tickets are kind've generic. They will not be for a specific date or time, they will just be for The Passion. You have to show up early for the showing you want to see on a first come-first served basis. I so badly want to see it opening day...maybe I should camp out the night before! LOL

Sweetliberty, I think some of the folks on your ping list will be interested in this thread. Would you mind doing the honors?

LOL... I too will definitely be in line for The Passion, but I think maybe giving up camping out for Lent would be a good idea. ;-)
Thanks so much for the great news ping Northern Yankee!!

Marsha,
You're most welcome for the Ping.
I defer all questions about Icon to Karen. She seems to know some very influential people in that production company.(Right Karen?...)
I look forward to our discussions after seeing the movie!

You're most welcome.
I think t would be great for all of us to get together to see this movie. (Camping would be fun...)
But being able to discuss this film will be wonderful with such knowledgable creatures.

Karen... you may want to confirm this. I called the the number Marsha(lonevoice) supplied (888) 227 - 1152, and got tickets without a wait tonight, no problem. What they are, are vouchers to see at ANY theater in the North America, any time.
The group/individual sales tickets line you supplied is also correct.
Don't forget to ask if you can be put on a list to attend the premiere in your city! It doesn't hurt to ask, they'll take your info, and have someone get back to you!:)

Before I found this "official" website (above) - and telephone number, I also called (888) 227-1152 and oreder a BUNCH of Christmas presents. o)The only bad part is that they said that it would take about FOUR WEEKS to actually get the tickets to me... ...so, I plan to put together a "gift certificate" that I can print out, and give to people. |

If these are not tickets to a specific showing, then I think I'll wait until I can order advance tickets on Fandango.com or whatever site so that I'm sure there will be a seat for me despite however many people show up with vouchers.
These would have made nice gifts, though, if you could print them out instead of waiting for them to arrive by snail mail in four weeks.
