To see GW interact with the troops is always a moving experience.
Thank God for our President who has the courage to do what's right.

A Thanksgiving Prayer

Heavenly Father, this I pray
My thanks for life and each new day;
For all You've given me in wealth
Of family, friends, and Lord, my health.

For these I pray and easily said
But there are sorrows that I dread;
The things I'd rather not incur
Heartaches that too often occur.

Thanks Oh Lord! for these things too
Through them my soul is lifted to You;
For I alone can't handle these
And plead Your help on bended knees.

Through all my life I desire Your will
And for Your grace my soul to fill;
For though the sinner that I be
I humbly beg Your tender mercy.

For things of life, both good and bad
I thank You Lord, my soul is glad
For the Spirit in everything and everyone
That leads to You, Father, and to Your Son.

Thanksgiving

Give me the end of the year an' its fun
When most of the plannin' an' toilin' is done;
Bring all the wanderers home to the nest,
Let me sit down with the ones I love best,
Hear the old voices still ringin' with song,
See the old faces unblemished by wrong,
See the old table with all of its chairs
An' I'll put soul in my Thanksgivin' prayers.

Twas the Night of Thanksgiving

Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned -- the dark meat and white,
but I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation,
the thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees.......
happy eating to all---pass the cranberries, please
