Mission Accomplished – As Expected, Gas and Diesel Prices Begin Dropping (manipulation, not supply or war)
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 11/5/2026 | Sundance

Posted on 11/05/2026 3:48:28 PM PST by sopo

In addition to what we previously outlined in the post midterm prediction two months ago, the price of gasoline and diesel fuel has begun dropping quickly. {GO DEEP} This downward price pressure will continue through January, eventually highlighting just how much financial manipulation via speculative trading was behind the price.

You can actually watch/see the prices dropping via GAS BUDDY Here. Most of the price increase was driven by market manipulation designed to influence the U.S. political outcome.

The western market ‘justification’ per se’ was the Iran war and the oil disruption from the Strait of Hormuz, but that’s not what drove up the price. The timing of the drop tells you the story that many deniers maintained for the past several months.

Additionally, we can now watch as Zelenskyy stops targeting Russian oil refineries, again removing one of the justifications that was being used by the “market speculators” who were intentionally driving up the price. Zelenskyy will justify the sudden shift in drone targeting by using the ever-present, and always Machiavellian, magnanimous explanation.

As the Ukraine and Russian teams meet with U.S. intermediaries in Abu Dhabi next week, Volodymyr Zelensky will claim his instruction to stop targeting oil refineries shows his commitment to a ceasefire and peace talks. However, if you have watched events closely and tracked the narrative and the assembly behind it, you will see the truth and timing behind events.

There is no longer a need to target refineries because the energy market speculators are going to dial back the upward pressure and allow prices to drop. Vladimir Putin was correct when he said, “How, in fact, is the price of gas formed on the European exchanges? It is not determined by producers, but by exchange traders.” {Go Deep}

People are only now just beginning to realize what folks like you and me have been outlining for months, this energy crisis was a justification for upward price pressure. There is no ‘free market’ factor in this system. The output never changed but the prices skyrocketed; the ‘speculators’ made billions from the manipulation, the energy companies banked the profits and the geopolitical stakeholders benefited from the political consequences.

Accepting this reality is why we were able to predict the exact moment when fuel prices would begin a precipitous drop.

The reality is that ‘western market prices’ are not an outcome of supply, demand or even availability or production capacity. Western market prices are determined by speculators, traders and regional benchmarks created by “independent agencies.”

Remember those pesky housing loan bond rating agencies, Standard and Poor’s and/or Moody’s during the lead-in to the 2008 financial crisis. That type of rating ‘independence’ is akin to the benchmarks of these regional independent agencies within the energy markets; which is to say, they are not independent at all – they are part of the manipulated western financial system that determines ‘market pricing’.

Behind that curtain are the traders, speculators, ideological banks and financial systems who create the finance system for the energy market. Want to stop oil exploitation, change the lending requirements to favor windmills and solar panels etc. Not coincidentally changing these lending rules and regulations was Mark Carney’s former job. Does that sound like an open market approach?

Thus, when you really understand how this pricing is structured you begin to realize the price of diesel has nothing to do with the supply of it and the price is more controlled by those who wish to generate financial -or political- outcomes from it. (read more)

exactly what he said in September as I posted on this thread https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4396626/posts

Can he be that much smarter than Trump and all the kings's horses and all the king's men?

As someone who doesn’t, I’d guess if you have a lot of money and can cheat, you’d like to clear out pretty quickly.

It’s become pointless to try to fight the tide.

25 years ago, it was a pure leftist phenomenon - loser speak about deep states and cabals and rothschilds (and JOOS! of course) sundry other nonsense.

The best thing for the conservative movement is to exile the nutballs back to their sandwich boards.

If they’ve gotten this far in life without without managing to strangle themselves tying their shoelaces or forgetting to breathe, they’re beyond help.

Let them float back to the leftists where they belong. Where every failure is somebody else’s fault.

The conservative movement will be better off if we stop coddling, providing safe spaces, and otherwise biting tongues for their votes. Let the leftists have them.

Here’s one willing to be educated, I wear loafers to avoid your expectations. CTH has said for years the economics of energy divide along climate change. Why is it ignorant as you go over-the -top to complain to see a lot of things aligning to reinforce that point of view?

You mean a little like JP Morgan commodity pricing for one example? With their long track record of misconduct a lot of people believe the government allows them to keep a share of the ill gotten gains in return for doing the gov favors. Hard to believe how they could still be in business otherwise.

Regular gas fell $0.12 cents this past week, big deal. It's still $4.10

Diesel is still $6.25

Honestly, it’s not a matter of laying things out in a post nor is it something you can really well-suited to videos or blogs.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m actually *NOT* saying it requires a lot of degrees and formal university education either; I know multiple people quite good at this sort of stuff and simply got a foundation in basic macro/micro economics, and then learned on their own.

BUT- NEVER get your financial news or info from people that start from a pre-determined ‘social’ or political perspective. All they are is clickbait pikers - and most of them want to sell you subscriptions and books and newsletters.

NOBODY - in our enormous, dizzying complex, financial world is ABLE, much less WILLING to construct a schema to influence an election - in EITHER direction.

“Big shorts” happen - but it’s a niche play for financial advantage. I mean, totally different situation - currency, not commodities - and I hate his politics too, but when George Soros broke the pound? It wasn’t a “political” play - it was (in hindsight) a smart play because the British pound got way out over its skis and (again, in hindsight) it simply was not worth what the exchange rate said. Huge risk, but it was correct.

When it comes to commodities - like oil? You have a long tail - oil prices are “future contracts”. The oil to pump price? Logistics for transport. Refining. Logistics from refinery to pump. Only a fool would believe some puppetmaster or cabal could “make it work”.

First, the market is simply too big - and someone would always look to make money off such play. Second? Too many variables that could blow it up EVEN IF you somehow had the capital to make it work... and even Elon Musk doesn’t have THAT much capital.

It’s really my basic foundation of being a conservative - capitalism works. Free markets work. They’re imperfect - and not impervious to *SMALL* (but tailored to individual gain) chicanery, but nobody is running global markets towards a *political* goal. Even the CCP and BITD- USSR tried, but couldn’t do that.

My point is that it’s not a single post or video or book you can read. I don’t even claim to be an expert - if I were? I’d be on island sipping drinks.

The bigger point? Anybody who sells you finance from a political perspective? All they want is your clicks and your money.

Ok , I get it, Thomas Sowell certainly warns against falling for “windfall profits’ blame game. And your advice against starting from an ideological or political perspective to analyze economic events is borne from long experience of having lived an artery of life that I never did really test the pulse of. But I do quibble that there are political conspiracies have shaped a lot of the world’s history, even Absalom and David, to name the Jews. But thank you for taking your time to reply

nation averages are meaningless ... taxes and regulations in various states (California) inflate the average pump price.
