I’m not sure if Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) wanted the speakership, but he turned out to be the right person for the job. Speaker Johnson continues to impress by passing numerous pieces of legislation with razor-thin majorities. The man gets things done. He’s a closer.

Trump needs to put Trump Org. private eyes on every Republican Senator. Go nuclear “Senator Geary” on their corrupt asses.
John Thune (R-SD) won his 2022 Republican primary election with 72.2 percent of the votes. His closest rival only received 20.3 percent of the vote.
He won the general with 69.6 percent of the vote.

Curious to see what his winning percentage will be in 2028.
The ‘Lesser of Two Evils’ crowd will ensure that he wins.
Thune is a worm. My disgust for this man knows no bounds.
.
I have wondered for some time why he is never mentioned as a contender for President. Maybe he just does not want that job either. I could easily understand that too.
Thune doesn’t have to be defeated in a SD primary, although that would be optimum. He just didn’t need to receive the amount of votes to make him Senate Majority leader!!!!
Those asshole Republican senators knew exactly what they were doing, and that this guy would impede Trump‘s agenda when necessary in their eyes!!!.
Can a conservative assault on the majority leader occur to replace Thune??
+1
.
IF the GOP keeps the Senate, they need to vote in a new leader. I suspect a number of new MAGA senators will insist upon it.
