But he concedes there are a few good things about America. Weed is at the top of his list. As if the rest of the world doesn't have access to it. Of all the videos I've seen, I don't think I've seen one reference to marijuana. Anyways, I don't think this appreciation and adoration will take hold in Maher or his audience but you never know.

Growing up in The Land of the Free and The Home of the Brave, one can believe that many, many people are good.

It also means keeping your powder dry.

It appears that Maher, off and on, states something that leans towards the truth and conservatism. I believe he is trying to increase the $$-clicks-$$. I trust him about as much as I trust Hussein, “Doctor” Jill Biden, Ocrazio-Cortex, Gavin Newscum, etc.

He was on Joe Rogan’s podcast a while back and it took him all of 10 minutes to start trashing President Trump.

Just because he seems to have a moment of clarity now and then doesn’t mean he’s any different than the rest of them.

I have the impression that while these visitors are caught up in the moment and wonder, and awe, at how America actually works at the average person’s level, that when they get home and have time to absorb it all, that they will start seeing their nation’s politics in a new light with a new realization of cause and effect, after seeing and experiencing effects that they want in their own lives, now they know how things can be, and can wonder how private life in their own nations got so restrained, limited, and controlled.

That’s worth hoping for. I hope they haven’t allowed their countries to become so inundated with communists and islamists that they can’t reverse course. Those types of ideologies are not keen on uppity peons.
