“Plus, he’s stupid.”
Eloquently said! Such a sad thread but I had to laugh at this because that is exactly what I have been thinking. He reminds me of Mayor Smiley’s court jester.
Some cameras should be high resolution.
Cameras might have a smart zoom function.
Yesterday’s excuse was that all the students have gone home for the holidays and aren’t available for interviews.
And since the building was old it didn’t have the cameras in it that the newer buildings have.
Apparently theses elite Ivy League administrators and politicians and LEOs have never heard of SKYPE or Facetime.
And even is that weren’t available, they could request the students’ local LEOs for a recorded interview.
These people must be in deep trouble to go to these lengths to look like complete morons.
Scrubbing every reference to this Mustapha guy from their website was a big clue and a big no-no. It not only reeks of a cover-up, but it could be construed as evidence tampering, obstruction of justice and interference with an investigation..................
The term "too old" is likely being used instead of "too costly to remove lead paint" and "too costly to remove asbestos" that would be needed before installing the wiring.
And they conveniently ignore the $8 BILLION endowment sitting the Brown account(s).
So apparently there is ONE actual reporter out there asking pertinent questions.
Every penny of that endowment is likely untouchable. Endowments are not owned by the school and normally have strings attached where they can only be used for specific purposes. They're not a general-use bucket of money.
Approval by the Board for life-saving SECURITY shouldn’t be out of the question. Maybe it is. I expect that the alumni who help fund the endowment, and send their kids there now, would be thrilled to know the children are covered by cameras.
Endowments have very tight strings. Security cameras are not likely part of that.
Regardless, apparently the security cameras were all shut off due to staff complaining about monitoring back during campus protests related to Palestine.
“ it’s hard to tell whether anyone at Brown is competent and knows what they are doing.”
IMHO what they are doing is called a cover-up. The lack of security cameras is probably related to protecting the students from being identified when they were rioting/demonstrating in favor of Hamas or illegals. Putting out a map of where the security cameras are located would show the students the locations to avoid during those demonstrations.
Brown is a liberal hellhole.
“Security cameras are not likely part of that.”
It depends on how an endowment is structured, donor wishes, restricted vs unrestricted, etc. Stanford has a percentage for operating expenses that can be used for cameras.
“The lack of security cameras is probably related to protecting the students from being identified when they were rioting/demonstrating in favor of Hamas or illegals.”
That’s what Erick Erickson said on today’s show. I believe he stated that there were cameras in a certain area but they had been turned off or disable so as not to show anti antisemitic activity that Brown was taking heat for.
This Series of events represents everything that is wrong with IN OUR country!.........
