Blaming AI bots. When are they going to do something about shutting down these ‘bots’?
I get tons of phishing emails from .edu email accounts. When I feel so moved, I track down the school or university & send their administration an email, warning them that their students are using their system for phishing expeditions. Yesterday I actually got a response back from the school (I think that’s only happened twice now), & was told they looked into it & the emails were actually foreign bots that had gotten a student’s password to send out the mail. Surely SOMETHING can be done about this stuff!
We have a system at work that requires us to change our passwords ever 3 months. And it won’t let you recycle them............
I try to change my critical passwords periodically, but now I can’t remember them. I have to go look at what I’ve written down, & of course I have a spreadsheet on my computer. So hackers who might gain access to my computer are a problem.
While people are upset at the idea of digital ID, I’m beginning to be FOR it. I don’t want anyone stealing my identity. And the best way for me to stay ME on line is for everyone else to stay THEMSELVES. No bots, as there’s no real person behind it.
Not the direction I ever thought I’d go, but this identity stealing stuff must be dealt with.
Yes indeed!
The corollary is: "Republicans respond to what Democrats do by rolling up into the fetal position. Nothing to see here, move along."
BTTT.
